Good Morning from the totally chilled out and relaxed chez moi.
I am enjoying watching my choice on TV. I already make the Rev watch her wrestling and sci-fi films in the early morning before I get up or in the evening in her bedroom so I don't feel justified in making her watch my historical and documentary programmes at other times.

This morning I plan to start on the kitchen cupboards - decluttering, cleaning and packing. I only have 2 more huge lunches to cook before we go so I HOPE I know what I can safely pack away and what I need to keep out.

Ah! Someone has just phoned to say that she is on her way over to see me. Quick readjustment of plans!.

    Added much later.

Had only just finished writing the above and the doorbell went. Morning gone and nothing accomplished. Will try again this afternoon.

  • Sheila, Molly left a short message on the O/S daily thread to say it had been "a sticky few days and would be in hospital a little longer than had been anticipated"

You sound to be recovering and enjoying some quiet time to yourself, take care.

    Much love

    evening all :)

Shegar - glad you are healing, hope you are managing to rest a little,

CC - I agree with the others sharing the memories is a beautiful idea

Stiltwalker - glad you enjoyed your day yesterday, hope your day today went as well.

Monnagran - that happens to me all the time :)

SQ - ((hugs)) bad news always comes in busloads I find.

We have had a lovely day, we visited the zoo using our membership cards, and while DS10 was a handful, it didnt end it total disaster so its a win as far as I can see.
OH is off having XRays as it looks as though he has broken a few ribs in work, he is hoping he wont be too long as he has early start in the morning again. I am hoping he hasnt broke them, from a selfish point of view it will make the holiday next week considerably harder for me. BUt hey ho we will work around whatever arises.
Had to go to dentist today as the hospital have requested new Xrays - no real idea why but I went and coped without crying, so my dentist was rather pleased with himself :)

Tomorrow we are heading to local bowling alley for the soft play for £1 offer before 10am, which keeps us out of the way of the cleaner and DD19 can be here to pay the cleaner etc. Then we are off in search of summer hats for the kids - they have grown out of all their hats, so its a shopping search until we find them.

    Evening everyone :hello:

Not too much OSing going on here. I was going to bake a cake for DH's work, but I've managed to eat the chocolate topping.

Not enough sorting done today. I had every intention and even wrote a list... but haven't managed to complete it! I need more self-discipline, which doesn't seem to be forthcoming.

However, on the plus side, DH cooked supper tonight. Honey & mustard pork with lovely pork loin from the farmers' market.

    Night all x

Hi Vicky, good to see you over here as well.

CC, I am so pleased that all went as well as it could do. How thoughtful of you to think of giving DH's knick-knacks to those who would appreciate them the most.

I refused to buy the paper with the Aldi voucher in, also I was fairly certain I didn't need £40's worth this week. I did the shopping, put in what I wanted and needed and worked out that it was under £40 - it was, phew, and well under.

For anyone trying Jack's Creamy Salmon Pasta with Chilli Lemon Kick, (lovely), Aldi's jars of fish/meat paste for the salmon are 25p.

Shegar, how worrying for you, I hope your recovery continues to go well.
