Princess I'm here reading, just a bit quiet at the moment! I'm very much a solitary creature, but OH has two weeks off at the minute and is trying to see everyone we know and then some. Its a bit overwhelming for me so I haven't much chat going spare.:D
Work is ok, a bit of a slog as I expected it all to be done now, but I'll get there. Maggie is a star, and often comes over to give me a cuddle when I'm working.
Hope all is well with you.

Just had the good news that I've been offered a PA to Director post with a local NHS trust, so any ideas to find good smart workwear (suits/dresses etc) would be gratefully received...but please bear in mind that I turned 50 just over a week ago so nothing too short/ tight/ skimpy please!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Congratulations! I saw some great workwear in the charity shops today, just a shame that they weren't in my size... Alternatively, Tesco's Florence and Fred range have some nice work clothes.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Hey VickyA, welcome! I forgot to say it before. You've come to the right place for fun and support and copious amounts of vitual tea and biscuits.
Well, I had a brilliant idea and talked to my ladies about the completely wacky school I used to run. I took photos and things and they were flatteringly attentive. So much so that instead of finishing at 3.30pm we were still gossiping until nearly 5.00pm. They wanted me to sign up to go back there but unfortunately I'll not be here for long enough.
Tomorrow I get stuck into decluttering my bedroom drawers and cupboards. I wish I knew if it was going to be a hot or miserable summer, then I would be able to get most of my clothes washed and packed away. Has anyone got a crystal ball?
Oh the joy! I'm about to make a hotwater bottle and go to bed with my book.
Hope you are doing something equally selfish while you have the chance, Princess.

Congratulations
I have a very playful kitten this evening, he has slept most of the day (on kids knees mostly) but now has tonnes of energy and is trying to attack everything in sight. Lesson learnt, he is having his mad moment during the day tomorrowHe keeps rushing up to my laptop and hitting it or gnawing the screen!

Murks and spensar and dubbenhams were my DD's favorites when she was in a suited and booted job, nice, very smart good quality.
Most importantly from a money saving point of view washable. She had dresses, trousers and matching jackets. They lasted well too, no bobbling or getting bent out of shape.0 -
Evening all - good to hear from you CC, you have been in my thoughts - my DH thinks you should have played firestarter, in fact I think you might have given him ideas! Best wishes in finding you new normal lovey - X
Well we have had a lovely day at the land of lego - kids are both in their own beds (for the moment, they may well get up and bunk in with each other before morning!) DH and I are vegging on the hotel bed with computers, a little drinky and snacks from the Mr T down the road! Sorry, can't remember who said we'd need warm clothes but it's been t-shirts all day (we're tough old northerners lol) and in fact I've even managed to get a bit sunburnt! The comfy shoes were a must and very welcome though.
Hope you are all well - hugs where needed or wanted - Hx0 -

hi guys
in trying to keep busy i have been tiding and sorting, Hubby was a bit of a hoarder and has files of paper work that we/I no longer need.
he also liked a lot of nic naks and bits all over the place. only in sorting i seem to have made more mess then was there in the first place..
I was thinking of giving some of his nic naks to the friends he was with when he brought them, I E a tacky item from a camping trip with his best mate, that happened before we got together. do you think this would work? a bit like losing things when you movethey don't mean much to me, but to the other person it may mean a lot.
Burtha, honey don't feel guilty. I haven't been for a run in about 35 years, so no biggie...today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.
Living on my memories, making new ones.
