Evening toughies.
SQ hope the funeral went ok.
The land of Bay I very rarely sell on having had so many difficulties in the past. When I sell now I insist on collection only and cash on collection.
I am contemplating finally selling my grandfathers furniture this weekend though. Both pieces are taking up space we really don't have. And neither is usable for our needs so after alot of soul searching I really think we need to do this. After a quick check both items seem to be selling at the moment so now is the time.
I am feeling very tired today but not in huge amounts of pain so am grateful for that.
Tomorrow I am going to look at a car for DD19 in the hope she can get back to her lessons and move forwards.0 -

I've been reading along but can't remember much of anything.
Shegar: I do think you are being very brave. Anything to do with ENT is awful. Everything that goes wrong seems to affect everything else in that area. Lots of hugs.
I hope Lyn is making the most of Gay Paree. I have only ever gone through Paris but never stopped there. My MIL was French and she and FIL went to live in Wimereaux when MIL retired from the French Embassy - when she was 80! although I believe that the official story was that she was 65!!!!!! Anyway, I got to know that area quite well, and I spent the odd holiday in Brittany. My French is still appalling but console myself that MIL spent 50 years in this country and her English was beyond appalling.
The Rev is away for 5 days at the crack of dawn tomorrow - let the fun begin.
I have already got the horrible net curtains down from her study window and they are soaking in a bucket of Nappisan at this very moment. I am hoping to get a lot of sorting out and packing done while she is away. I will also take the opportunity to 'lose' several objectionable bits and pieces, this moving business can be blamed for anything that she actually misses.
Well, you have to make the most of these opportunities don't you?

Oh Monnagran thats exactly what I did when we moved. OH still has the odd moment where he looks blankly and asks about something - I look innocent and announce its not been seen since the move. Never a lie, always stick with the truth!0

hi Guys,
i have been reading along, but didnt feel like i could post.
thank you for all of your support, and wonderful kind words.
the funeral went very well I followed hubbys wishes almost to the letter. I felt that having twisted fire starter at the crem might have been to much..
the wake was reported to be the " best" anyone of our friends had been to, along with good food, lots of drink and a 50 inch tv showing high lights of hubbys life, there was also kari okie. ( sp) so lots of bad singing and laughter. just what he wanted.
now I am trying to find my new normal. find my balance. i miss him. i miss the company of someone you dont have to explain everything to. I MISS everything.
ok. my BIL has now banned me from using my widow hood to get things done lol its an old staanding family joke. hubby used his cancer card for a week, before we told him to get over it, he could make his own damn cups of tea.. ect.
anyway just wanted to post to say i am still here. trying to get through each day.. carrying on . xtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

CC, glad it all went as planned. A celebration of life is the best way of remembering a loved one. My Dad planned his.
One day at a time.
Take care of yourself.0 -
CC pleased everything went as DH had wanted it. I think a celebration of a life is far more fitting, and people will remember it with affection and humour.
Look after yourself
Much love
