Ivy what do you mean parakeets? Wild ones in trees?? How is that?
Shegar no, still taking the kelp but since that dentist treatment I'm right back where I started, wiped out.
We have crocus through today, and I saw a blackie with grass in his beak going into the hedge. Few woodpigeons and collared doves at the bird table, along with the "pet" pheasant. Buzzards calling and soaring above all the time so they must be pairing up as well.

Mar I remember on a Bill Oddie programme a few years ago, seeing parakeets on Hampstead Heath or in one of the London parks; apparently they're thriving in the wild.
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

We visited Richmond park London and they were everywhere. Was told they think they came from the airport close by.

Hi everyone, had a lovely morning so far. Went to town with mum and eldest DD and we had a drink in costa - its called costa cuz it costs a lot to go there regulary!!! Anyway was a nice treat.

We then visited a factory shop that supplies garden centres, got some mini roses for the garden 50p each and a tray of prims and some pansy's. Just thought I would 'tidy' up the front garden a little.

Now I am just chilling out, going to DD for pancakes later..... hmm strawberries and ice cream.

thankyou for all the nice birthday wishes.

Princess I had 2 wisdom teeth out by sedation, I took childrens liquid ibuprofen. It helped loads with the swelling and is gentler on the tummy too.

It was on our local news last night about them, apparently jimi Hendrix let a couple out, not sure if it's true. There are a lot in ramsgate.

The ones that come to our tree live a few miles away. They always return to the same garden to roost every night.

Unfortunately because our tree is so tall we don't really see their green plumage, only the shape of them silhouetted against the sky. Now and then a few settle on lower branches, then we can see the colour.

We don't feed the birds, because there are so many cats in the area.

I read recently that there are lovebirds and even a few parrots living wild in the London area! I think Richmond Park was mentioned.

nuttyp, somehow I managed to miss the fact that it's your birthday! Sorry :o. So glad you're having a happy day.
