Distinguished myself at lunchclub on Wednesday.
Tuesday night I got absolutely everything ready for the morning, even to weighing out all the ingredients for dumplings and chocolate crunch and putting the right number of eggs in basins with the egg whisk beside them. Next morning I sailed into the kitchen and proceeded to somehow mix up dumpling dough and choccy crunch. It wasn't until I had a strange mixture of flour, suet, salt, cocoa, sugar, melted marge and eggs all in their lined tins and baking in the oven that I realised what I'd done. No, I couldn't have given it to anyone to eat, it was vile. Talk about being organised. I'm giving that up for sure. Back to disorganised chaos - much safer.

Right. Off to bed.

Well done on the magazine. Had to laugh at the cooking disaster though. Could you have a look at the Soup kitchen ideas thread monna. I recommended you to the OP as someone with experience of this type of catering. Hope that was OK. Enjoy your Sunday - or more likely the Monday 'rest' that comes after it.

monnagran - You must be shattered, I hope you manage to get some rest this week in between trying to sort things out re that poor young woman's flat. Thank goodness there is someone to help her!

Lovely and sunny here this morning, a bit of a surprise as I'd thought it was supposed to be wet.

Mardatha - My geography is awful so I have no idea if its close or not but there is a breeder in Elgin advertising raggies ready for end of March

Will be back later to read and catch up, off to cook sunday roast for 12:eek::eek: (friend is having her kitchen refitted today) and pack away the living room and DD7 bedroom too. Add in the usual uniforms etc and it may be alot later :rotfl:

Possession

I paid in advance for a craft on Facebook in December, with the proviso that I didn't need the items until mid-Feb. They didn't materialise, and when I checked closer to the date the Facebook page was deactivated. I have contacted the person and got some reply eventually, where she agreed to send the items last weekend. I believe from other sources that she is having considerable difficulties both with illness and financially so I was prepared to be flexible. However I have received nothing and had no contact all week. I paid via Paypal but by invoice. Do I have any recourse to get my money back do you think? Or do I just have to chalk this up to being stupid and too trusting.

Possession if you paid by PayPal contact them and for dispute its supposed to be there for that.

Yea I only ever click on email links to see posts, I don't usually come onto the OS forum itself, so I hadn't seen this thread but I have now
