I'd be interested. I'd like a little clarification on moving threads though: you are obviously going to get a lot of threads on here that aren't directly connected with money saving (game discussion, etc), but which really wouldn't be suitable to move over to the general discussion area in the Arms, so would they still have to be moved?

I would be interested, I used to be an admin (one of four masters of the universe) for one of the largest Runescape forums, Sals Realm and was even a player moderator for Jagex; the creators of the MMORPG and as such feel I am well suited to the role

First I became a Distinguished Member which was very much what is described here in the role description, moving posts, deleting spam and such then later on Global Moderator for a year or so. (now retired in that role though it is still open if I ever return)

I'd love to help with this! I'm an admin on a couple of other forums so I know how to move/merge/etc posts and I love gaming so I'll be around on this board anyway

I'd like to second Steve-o's question though. Are non-money saving threads allowed?
Other sections do have plenty of non-money saving topics (for example, tech advice when you don't know how to make Excel do X is hardly money saving but it fits in well in that section)

Chicka, this was answered by Andrea in this topic here, basically what was said that if you can afford it and have saved money in other areas, you deserve to buy yourself a reward

Based on what was said in the initial welcome thread started here, it would seem that non-moneysaving related chat is permitted and even encouraged on this board. Users have been encouraged to post guides and tips to help other users gain achievements/trophies and so I imagine there is a reasonable amount of scope for discussion not immediately concerning game sales and where to get x, y or z cheap.

I would be willing to give it a go. I'm reasonably active, and more so at non-"normal" times due to my bizarre work schedule. I am also very interested in video games and the gaming industry and I have been a moderator on defunct forums as well as an officer and Guild Master in an MMORPG!
