Anyone care to take up the reins on this.
I was engaging him in quite a long email dialogue. Then he suddenly stopped replying after I challenged him on the point highlighted below

Dear xxx,
Thank you for the information about the Brentford case, this provides interesting reading and highlights to me that judges’ interpretation of the law frequently differs from case to case. Nonetheless Parking Eye provide us with a valuable service and we have no plans at present to change our relationship with Parking Eye.
I note your comments about the fullness and clarity of the terms displayed on Parking Eye’s signage and I will refer this to Parking Eye, along with the question on Business Rates, for their consideration. If you wish to receive a response on these points, I would direct you to Parking Eye themselves, who will be in the best position to discuss their internal operation and policies.
In relation to your question about the VAT status of claim notifications and the discount for immediate payment, I can provide the following information. The Parking Charge Notification issued by Parking Eye is a charge for their service in monitoring the car park and upholding the parking restrictions therein. If immediate payment is made, Parking Eye’s costs are reduced as they spend less time and fewer resources chasing payment. This is why Parking Eye can offer a reduced charge for immediate payment. VAT is not and cannot be added to the Parking Charge Notifications.
Hang on a minute.
They provide a Service but no VAT applicable???
Since when?0 -

I telephone the Customer service manager. It turns out that he is unaware that Aldi only accept Credit cards in Scotland , parts of South Wales, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England.
Their website gives of list of Cards they accept and their in store signs mirror this.
In our call i asked him if his first direct card was accepted at Aldi he said yes. On checking that it display a VISA sign alone he discovered that according to the letter he sent me , the in store signs and the Aldi website contradict his own evidence misinformation.
Furthermore the new Aldi Customer Service telephone system has been struggling this week. I do not think the new Aldi customer service is fit for purpose.
If anyone has a parking issue that require a payment will a Credit Card be accepted ?0 -
I think that somebody else has pointed out to Aldi that according to their website Berwick is in Scotland. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Let me just clarify in my opinion and based on information given to me Aldi have a geographically biased ban on the use of VISA and Mastercard Credit Cards apart from Scotland, parts of South Wales, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England.
Do Aldis have car parking issues that are geographically biassed ?
Apparently i get the impression their 7 regions are managed totally independently of each other.
It concerns me that Aldis may have the same approach to the Health and safety of their customers and staff as they have to customer care.0 -
Please, for the sake of everyone who wants to fight ParkinEye, do not encourage 2e0arr in this thread.
Whilst everyone is entitled to post what they like, where they like (within the rules of the forum) if you read his other thread you will see that he will only be a disruptive influence to a serious thread.

But they also have mixed policy of acceptance of Credit Cards for South Wales which is managed by the regional office in Swindon Wiltshire England.
Can i point out that i have been told that a £30 gift Voucher is on its way to me from Aldi for a complaint in September. So far its over 12 day in waiting here.
It has been pointed out to me today on these forums that Aldi do not issue gift vouchers. LOL
Can any parking issues be paid using an Aldi £30 gift voucher ?0 -

I took the trouble to telephone WHICH.They took note that Aldi have a geographical bias in banning credit cards except for in Scotland , parts of South Wales, and Berwick Upon Tweed.in England.
They took note of this without me askiing them too.0 -

I'm sure you have a point but this is a parking forum not a credit card forum !0 -
On the subject of parking in an Aldi car park ..Both of the Aldis near to me are within Nottingham City Council who have implemented a workplace parking levy across Nottingham to assist the cost of the Nottingham tram system. This mean that employers have to pay the council for members of staff who use the company car park. some employers pay this charge but many pass this cost on to the employees who use the car park.0
