No joy with my Council with regard to Aldi and PE imposing parking time restrictions and charges in the Aldi where I used to spend my hard earned cash as there was nothing in the planning consent BUT ...
Q: Do they have planning permission for the Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras they have installed?
The Automatic Number Plate Recognition Cameras and CCTV poles, and whether they would have required planning permission is under investigation by the Council’s Planning Enforcement Officers.
Q: Does the rateable value of the property now reflect the fact that they are generating income from the car park?
Please see response to Q 5 below
Q: Is the Council's Rates Valuation Officer now aware that this car park is now being used to generate revenue and will the officer be reviewing the rates that Aldi should be paying now that the car park is no longer free ?
With regards to Questions 4 and 5, The Valuation Office Agency (VOA), part of HM Revenues & Customs, are responsible for assessing the rateable values of non-domestic properties. The Council has now requested that the VOA review the rateable value for Aldi Foodstore on XXXXXXXXX.0 -

Well done Hubert, 2 out of 3 potential hand grenades primed and on their way. Keep us posted! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi-di-hi Aldi and Parking Eye, happy bedfellows until (I am sure) Aldi dump them when the contract ends. This is untenable in the long run.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I think there'll be some champagne corks popping on here and PePiPoo on that ever nearing day.
But I'd be buying decent stuff, not an Aldi special £9.99 jobPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
