You can also get online VPN sites which are easy to use, with minimal technical knowledge needed. Check out hidemyass.com. This will change your visible IP address when accessing web pages, making it more difficult for them to block you. Keep up the campaign against Aldi. They obviously can't handle fair and legitimate criticism. Keep up the good work.

They're clearly using advanced stuff. Changed my IP ( via Onion ), created a new facebook account and still can't post. Guessing it's linked to the domain name of the Facebook account email address. Next step Hotmail !

Or banned from posting on their wall.

I wonder if the hole they are digging has almost reached Australia yet

Bounce - I've not got time today to get round the ban but I will soon ! Quite why Aldi are so convinced that saying nothing and doing nothing will win them the battle I do not know.
  • Copied the following from my thread re: Parking Eye. Thought it was relevant.

I do feel strongly on this subject, I will NEVER again shop in any of these stores operating these car park management firms. I will not be driving to the nearby town to do any shopping, I will be shopping online where ever possible, I am sure it will save me lots of money (my husband thinks an initial payment of £60 to PE is superb value for money if it curtails my shopping habits, which were considerable).

I don't understand these stores, I work in retail and in the current climate we are doing everything within our powers to encourage customers. What are they thinking, how many people like me are they alienating. It is not only the stores in question who have lost my business, but the smaller shops I would have visited whilst I was in town. I hope they are reading these forums. MY SHOPPING HABITS HAVE BEEN CHANGED BY YOUR ACTIONS! I WILL NOT BE BACK!
Have you done everything right in life. If not will you learn and have you changed?

Please, please, please - keep commenting on the Aldi Facebook page. I can't at the moment due to my ban but I will get round it soon.
  • I did my shopping at sainsburys this week. Not sure but it night have been cheaper. If I continue to do this Aldi have lost £2400 in turnover. How many customers will they need to loose before they understand ? This is purely about principle for me.

Hopefully Parking Eye's tactics will come back and bite them hard, if they decide to take someone who is a solicitor/lawyer, or is good friends with one, to court and lose badly.

I doubt if most of the 210,000+ likers of the page even know there have been comments about parking - default view is posts by page not posts by others so they rarely show, I only saw them because of this thread on MSE.

Just had a look and PE stuff is peppered throughout. It must be a hair raising experiment for Aldi to have this FB wall. If Waitrose had one, I doubt there would be as many complaints about difficultly in reaching customer services or pics of product issues! If you read carefully it seems people post the most irate things if they could not get a quick resolution from in store staff or on the phone (0844 and queueing..).
This will either improve Aldi or they will take the wall down one day.
Aldi hardly has the margins to address all issues like Waitrose would.
