"Mike Perkins. our company wouldnt act that , i would like our company to be aldis parking company."

I think this is genuine .

Has that thread been nuked now?

  • I don't imagine P.E have any authority to request reduction in parking time to a Council. This would surely have to be done in Aldi's name. This would seem to prove conclusively that, far from being unaware of the problems P.E bring to their business, they are looking at the cheques sent to them by P.E and are rubbing their hands. P.E Aldi and Weber/Shandwick get murkier by the day.

It seems to me that PE are unhappy that this site (good old Portslade-by-Sea) doesn't bring in enough money. Not enough victims stay longer than 2 hours and they have (maybe...allegedly!) leaned heavily on Aldi to convince them they will 'free up some spaces taken up by local shoppers' & get more customers in Aldi if the parking time is reduced. Daft.

Changing the time when PE can send a PCN is not going to change people's shopping habits - except to drive them away fro good in the long run.

Letter to the Store Manager as well, Hot Bring? Who is he/she, I am not sure. The Manager needs to be politely told how a customer feels about all this, say an average elderly customer or someone who brings their disabled child there to shop and then to the junction/crossing to watch the trains go by once a week. Someone like that would not be chuffed to be restricted to a '90 minute trolley dash' including the usual car seat struggle, buggy/trolley juggle, and little trip a hundred yards to stand and stare for a while, get some fresh air and watch the trains. All gone due to a PPC wanting to actually find some victims, never mind that the ones who take over 90 minutes are more likely to be those who need to. No-one would choose to stay in Aldi or those local shops for longer, it's not exactly the City Centre!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • A banana box delivery in Aldi Berlin contained more than just bananas:
Aldi employees in Berlin Germany found 140 kilogram of cocaine packed in banana boxes.
It seems that all the Portslade comments and recomments have now been removed. WS usual tactics then - can't/won't answer, musn't let others see so delete!

Is Weber Shandwick still pretending a problem doesn't exist and deleting any negative posts for their beloved client?

I hope Aldi gets turned down for planning permissions for new stores based on previous behaviour of ignoring requirements of previous store permissions

    On the thread which starts:-
Read so many stories of customers getting a £70.00 fine for over staying in an Aldi car park .Went to my local lidl today and if you overstay your welcome of the alloted 60 minutes you will receive courtesy of the camera spy a £90 fine.

It's damning with faint praise to recommend shopping at ALDI because their car park fines are lower than those at LIDL.
