It looks as though PE may have picked on the wrong person this time. This a follow on from post # 1364 :-

My mum will be straight on it anyway I am sure as she is Vice Chairman of Leonard Cheshire Disability and spends her life campaigning on behalf of disabled people.

    and :-

I have now passed the contact information for Customer Service on to the Leonard Cheshire Campaigns team. They are meeting in London tomorrow and this issue has been added to their agenda and I hope that their legal team will now contact the Aldi legal team to discuss this.

Evidently you have to register with the shop if you are disabled or mention it to the manager. Of course there is no mention of this on PE's signs or on any in-store notices. So you have to be psychic to avoid getting a fake fine from PE.

Why should you have to register details with a shop if you are disabled - that in itself is discrimination under the Equality Act - and a means for Parking Eye to have your vehicle registration details. This sure also is a breach of the DPA. Further evidence that Parking Eye's "management" system is fundamentally flawed.

But don't worry Aldi are repeating their once-only offer from a couple of months ago - Crystal Balls - £19.99 reduced from £49.99. (4 only per store). :D
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

This guy has certainly got it in for these forums:-

Gary Lewis Just ring Aldi. In a second, law dogers will come on and tell you NOT to contact Aldi, but I was reading a thread on MSE the other day (search Parking Eye and Aldi) and a guy called Stonker had a charge. Aldi wrote to him a few times asking him to contact them, but these people kept telling him not to. In the end he saw sense and gave them a call and they helped him. These hate-campaigners will cause you far more stress and worry than they will save you. They will USE you in their vendetta against any rule or regulation. Rent a Mob and Soap Dodgers spring to mind!

    And more from Gary Lewis:-

"I have the wrong end of no stick! Pepipoop claims to be very successful in helping law dogers get off a lot of things. I do not include Parking Charges on this as these come under contract law. Speeding and drink driving, however, are law! The law that Peipoop think they are above! I dont like Parking Eye but i HATE people who help criminals! Do you spare any thought for the victims of the speeders and drink drivers you offer your assistance to? What about the Mother of the 19 year old lad that got hit so hard by a speeding Drink Driver that the friend he was with didnt know where he had gone. He was walking by the side of him one minute and then thrown over a brick wall the next! And PEPIPOOP offfered advice to the hit and run driver that was four times over the limit doing over 60mph in a 30! Nice, helpful folks that you are!"

  • Just a thought on the above vis a vis Aldi.
After the last double whammy in Court against Parking Eye a post appeared here 'Parking Eye CCJ.' It was quickly picked up by someone here that it was a claim made previously straight after a PE loss. Is this the new PE counter attack going via a different stage?

Well this is certainly someone who reckons they have been reading MSE and pepipoo a lot - maybe one of PE's paid forum 'snoops' {I would be good at that job but I doubt they would pay enough, isn't it £16K?!!}. And Stonker could in fact tell this idiot that I had a conversation with him by pm and encouraged him to ring Aldi back to see what they could suggest. And he then got his PCN cancelled by Aldi - despite no receipts. Forum guru's {sic} strike again, eh?!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

In my opin ion its always a good idea to contatc the car park owner ( in the case ALDI) as amongst other reasons it can sometimes be the fastest way to kill the ticket/fake parking eye charge in effect pulling the rug from under pakring eyes feet, and even though it may not do much it also highlights to the car park owner that their agents are a problem, and not a solution.

Just out of curiosity do German ALDIS employ something simalar to parking eye Augenpark anyone?
