seems that you have altered the parking times at your preston branch , according to planning permission from the counsel it is 2 hrs , and indeed it was when euro car parks ran it , however since parking eye took over its one hr and 30 mins.

Oh deary me.

Come on Preston council, slap Aldi with a massive fine for breaching planning regulations and order the payback of any tickets issued when the stay was between 1h30 and 2h.

Just posted this on another PE/Aldi thread so apologies to anyone reading it for a second time.
The Brighton Argus are reporting in Saturday's edition that Aldi Portslade are applying to Brighton and Hove council to reduce the time allowed for free parking from 2 hours to 90 minutes. Apparently this is "to reduce disruption during peak times".
No, I have no idea what this phrase means either :huh:other than the obvious interpretation - to facilitate the extortion of money from unwary customers by PE (don't expect that will be included in the application though).

I see that Gina Preeky is saying she got herself a PE PCN at Aldi - her car broke down, but good old Aldi's (CS) knights in shining armour got her off it.

Can't see anything about it in the Argus online and didn't get an Argus on Saturday as I was busy at the match at the Amex and then with family.

Hovite and I and others, only complained about this last year when they tried the same thing. And we will complain again if need be, every time, seeing as the Planning Consent allows visitors to use the car park to visit the local small businesses and shops in Boundary Road, Portland Rd and Carlton Terrace as well as shopping in Aldi.

90 minutes does not allow even the fittest and quickest person to achieve that every time - including driving in and out - nigh on impossible!
