Hello Lovlies,
I had a great weekend. Really nice to get away.
Breakfast, bacon and eggs, (both days)
Lunch, Sat, Pork ribs and salad. Sun, chicken nuts and apple.
Dinner, Sat full from lunch so small chicken drumstick & nuts. Sun, steak cabbage carrots & broccoli.
Ate in a pub Friday night. Had ham, fried egg and small bubble and squeak, there was some potato in it but hey ho.
Also the ribs I had on Saturday had a coating on them that probably had stuff on the no no list, but there was nothing else on the menu that was anywhere near suitable.
I'm pleased to say, I did not have any alcohol or naughty snacks, puds or ice cream so I'm feeling pretty relaxed about the bubble and squak and ribs.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Keep up the good work.0 -
Hi all, what a lovely weekend it's been!
Day 7
Breakfast - Sausages, egg, watercress, advocado, onion
Lunch - Prawns, watercress, advocado onion, roasted butternut squash
Dinner - Sausages, watercress, advocado, onion
The roasted butternut squash was absolutely lovely and the slight sweetness was good for any sweet cravings. Unfortunately feeling bloated this evening and wondering if it was the butternut squash that did it to me.
When I finish day 30 I hope to continue eating the way I am for maybe 4-5 days a week and the other two can enjoy a glass of wine, chocolate. Will introduce dairy again if my body doesn't mind it too much!0 -
When I get to the end of the 30 days I hope to spend a few days thinking about what to re introduce. I don't think it will be bread. I know that it makes me really bloated (and windy:o) I also hope I don't go back to my alcohol guzzling! Might introduce oats first as I love porridge and could do with it before I go cycling. I like to do about 60 mies a week (I'd like to do more) but am finding it really difficult on this regime. Went out for about 15 miles yesterday and was exhausted when I got back.
Am going to make a meatloaf in a minute, when Murray finishes his match!0 -
Hi all,
I'm doing a very similar thing through my boot camp instructors. Similar to paleo but not quite the same. I lost 8.5lb in 2 weeks, but then I haven't been sticking to it so much after my boyfriends birthday last weekend. Today was my first day completely back on track! Went to boot camp this morning too after only managing 1 session in the last month so that was a toughie!
ETA I made a date/walnut bar which was literally just dates and walnuts whizzed together in the processor and moulded into bars. I found the first 2 weeks quite easy until I slipped up and have struggled since to get back into it. I had headaches for the first 3/4 days but no major cravings luckily. I didn't feel any less bloated but everyone said I looked like I had lost weight.
Food today:
B - handful of pistachios before boot camp, smoothie (banana, egg, dates, almonds, coco powder, water) afterwards
L - salmon, celery, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, walnuts, cashews, cocoa orange nakd bar
D - butternut squash wedges, chicken with cumin and coriander, peppers and courgetteBecame Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

Hi all, hope you're all enjoying the sunny weather!
Day 8
Breakfast - Bacon, egg, mushroom, watercress, advocado
Lunch - Prawns, watercress, advocado
Dinner - Prawns, bacon, watercress, advocado
Still feeling good and haven't experienced any major cravings for chocolate. The three meals a day are keeping me full so haven't felt the need to snack either - I think this was where I was consuming most of my sugar previously.0 -
Day 12 for me. I made the meatloaf. Not bad, but I forgot to put the garlic in and I think it could have done with more salt & pepper, I didn't put as much salt in as the recipe said as I was trying to be healthy. Lovely to have lots of it in the fridge though. Am looking forward to having it for breakfast:D
Breakfast, one egg, scrambled and an apple
Lunch, tuna salad.
Dinner, Meatloaf, cabbage and carrot and swede mash
Snacks, coconut, two dates, naked bar, (the choc one.)
Bought coconut in a small tub from sainsburys today. Only eaten a couple of chunks. It makes a great nibbly snack because one small chunk is really satisfying and takes a longish time to chew.0 -

Hey Flissh and everyone,
I think that's the right attitude, as anyone with a normal, busy life will at some point find themselves in a situation where they have to eat something that isn't 100% whole 30 over the month. You can't always plan and take food with you, so as long as you don't go mad an give up entirely it must be fine! I had a day like that yesterday. We went out for the whole day with the kids, and got stuck in traffic for ages. My pre-planned snacks had run out and I was absolutely STARVING and feeling wobbly, so ended up eating half a croissant with cheese and ham and a piece of cake. Wheat, sugar AND dairy! But I had to eat something, and I only chose those items as I had no other option. So i'm not giving up based on those circumstances.
Day 16 today. We're getting there!!!
Well done everyone, and hello psychopathbabble! It's been a busy few days but i'll catch up later xDebt free date: October 2006 :money:0 -
Hi All,
Day 9
Breakfast - Bacon, egg, mushroom, watercress, advocado
Lunch - Too busy to get lunch today
Dinner - Steak, mushroom, onions, watercress, advocado
Could quite happily eat a bag of chocolate buttons right now! Went food shopping this afternoon and had to put blinkers on and avoid the dairy, sweet and bakery aisle. Today feels a bit more of a struggle maybe because I missed lunch.
How did you feel Gilly after your wheat, sugar and dairy - did you enjoy it? feel sluggish afterwards?
I like the sound of the coconut snack Flissh - will have to look out for that!0 -
Day 13.
Good day today. Had meat loaf and an apple for breakfast. Took it to work as went early and really enjoyed it.
Lunch, tuna salad & soup
Dinner...No dinner cos I've had too many snacks!
Snacks, few monkey nuts. Naked bar. Strawberry one. Coconut chunks & slice of meat loaf.
As usual drinking decaf black tea & coffee and bought some fruit tea. I am enjoying those.Never liked them before, funny what you appreciate when you are desperate:rotfl:
Gilly, your emergency snacks sound heavenly.
Right I'm off to boil some eggs (for a snack tomorrow) and act righteous in front of O/H as he is having a beer:A0 -
Meant to say, Well done Southerngirl for not giving in to those tempting aisles in the supermarket.0
