Wow Gilly, not long to go now until you finish. And ditto to everything you've said - I also feel like I have more energy, have given up snacking apart from the occasional handful of nuts, I'm less moody and I think my skin has more of a glow to it :)

Have a fabulous holiday! I'm sure you'll find plenty of tasty food to enjoy!

  • Well I have to confess yesterday was a non whole30 day! I started off well but by the afternoon, having spent 5 hrs in slow moving traffic, I had had enough and enjoyed a small bag of monster munch, choc mint kit kat and a diet coke - there was limited options at the petrol station (and doritos and a white roll for lunch)! So I've decided not to count yesterday as one of my days.

    Today I'm back on board!

    Day 14

Breakfast - Bacon, egg, mushroom, watercress.

    Lunch - Prawns, watercress, advocado.

Dinner - Salmon, advocado, egg, onion.

Hope you're all keeping well :)

Well done for getting back to it. It's best to write it off and move on.

I feel as if this way of eating has become second nature. Although I made myself a cup of tea at work and automatically put milk in it! I had to throw it away and start again.

    Day 20:eek:

Breakfast, cold meat & salad veg

    Lunch, Egg salad & soup

    Dinner, Frittata, apple & nuts

    Snacks Nakd bar, banana.
  • Hi all sorry I haven't been back since my original post. Haven't been sticking to it completely, and our fridge freezer stopped working last week so unable to stock up on fresh food. Can't afford to be buying salad etc every day :( waiting for engineer this afternoon to come over and 'fix' it... Then got to wait for landlady to replace it!

  • Thanks Flissh :)

I found it really easy to jump back on board and I think it's probably because I'm really enjoying what I'm eating while on the whole30.

    Day 15

Breakfast - Bacon, egg, onion, advocado

    Lunch - Prawns, advocado

Dinner - Sausages, bacon, cabbage, onion, asparagus

    Morning,

    psychopathbabble, sounds complicated, good luck.

Had the munchies yesterday! I ate well during the day. Had mackerel for breakfast. Sausages & salad for lunch, (probably cereal in the sausage) When I got home I snacked on a mackerel fillet, few nuts & an apple. Then a plum. Then had dinner, chicken casserole & carrots, then frozen banana & cocoa. None of it too bad, just loads of it.

Am going to get a grip today!
  • Some meals I definitely feel like I eat more then I normally would but it's only cause I'm really hungry! And at least you were snacking on healthy options Flissh.

    Day 16

Breakfast - Bacon, egg, mushroom, onion, watercress

    Lunch - Egg, watercress, advocado

Dinner - Salmon, cabbage, asparagus, onion, bacon

Southerngirl, you've made me want some watercress! I had forgotten how much I like it.

    Day 22. I can't believe it.

    Breakfast, Scrambled eggs
Lunch, Ham & 1/2 boiled egg salad
    Dinner, Roast chicken salad

Snacks, dried fruit & mixed nuts, mixed fresh fruit & nakd bar.

There is a real trend with the snacks. I do well all day and when I finish work at 4 have a snack and it seems to set me off. I had the fruit After work. The fruit & nuts whilst I was getting the dinner ready & the Nakd bar after dinner with a coffee.
  • Wow, Flissh, you only have eight days to go! :j

I love watercress, it goes with everything and I've been eating it with nearly every meal at the moment. I mix a little bit of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper and finely chopped fresh rosemary and coat the watercress with this - very tasty!

    Day 17

Breakfast - Salmon, egg, mushroom, advocado

    Lunch - Salmon, watercress, advocado

Dinner - Steak, mushrooms, onions, watercress, advocado

Keep up the great work everyone! Hope you're having a lovely holiday Gilly!
