Oh God, my post has gone - should have done the copy button. I must be more controlled! Kept up with what was going on until late afternoon.

Had a lovely shopping trip with DD and DGSs. DSIL joined us too to look after boys while we bought nursing bras, unmentionables in Boots, new changing mat, new newborn vests, a lovely light weight light cardi from Mothercare, cut off sleep suits as July birth. We are sorted!

Finlay now coming home in new stuff!

Now maybe a glass of red!

Scuzz - so worried about your post - are you OK?

Sorry this is abbreviated but love and hugs to all.

Evening everyone, or those daft enough to be up this late. Started reading this earlier, but w*rk got inthe way they we went out to pick up friends and go to Makro    setting Spain up for my retirement.

((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))) to Scuzz and anyone else in need. Don't forget the ears are here if you need them either on the public forum or on PM's.

Totally non OS since we got back from Spain, Fish and Chips last night, and pub meal after Makro tonight, will call at Aldi tomorrow on the way home and try to get the fridge looking like it belongs to me. Actually managed to empty the bags and put the clothes in the wash or away, but all the extras as all over this dump (otherwise known as the side bedroom)! together with the Makro purchases in DS's room (luckily he's at Uni) His last final exam is on Friday, then probably legless Friday night! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: He was wobbling on Tuesday while we were in Spain, luckily I had dialled in on Messenger, and was able to give the necessary support, seems OK again now, he thought we expected a 2.1, a goal he set himself, but had realised that a 2.2 was more realistic, he needed me to say that would do us.

Our caravanning friends are staying about 10 miles away from us in their 'van, so will be out and about with them so dont expect to get down to any real sorting until Sunday. Never mind it will be here after me I am sure!

22 more work get ups to retirement - but I'm not counting - much!

GB - just shared a bottle of red with my friend over the pub meal - enjoy!

    Take care

    Hi to anyone still up!

Another late post from me as we've been busy here today. DH has finished laying the wooden floor in the hall and has done a great job. It looks as if it's always been there, insted of the terracotta carpet that was there for the past eleven years!

We went to B&Q and ordered all of the cupboard doors, drawers, worktops, sink, bits and pieces etc for our newish/re-vamped kitchen. I had worked out that the total cost would be around £650, but some of the stuff was reduced and there is a 15% off on kitchens and bathrooms until the end of this week, so it only cost £401!!! :j Also, because we spent over £400 there was no delivery charge! :j Not bad for a 'new' kitchen.

I made a moussaka type meal for tea using about 3 different recipes. I bought an aubergine yesterday in Lidl for 23p and was determined to do something interesting with it and I did! Although, instead of layering the aubergine slices I just chucked it in with the mince and other vegetables and topped it with bechamel sauce and cheese. DH and the girls seemed to enjoy it.
I didn't watch Big Brother tonight as I forgot about it, but every year I've vowed not to watch it so I might actually succeed this year.

Tomorrow the girls are going to spend the day and night at my parent's as I'm hiring a carpet cleaner so that I can clean the carpets in the front room, stairs, landing and the bathroom for the first time ever! The plan is to do all of this and then to go out with DH for a meal, but I reckon we'll both be too tired and will end up with a takeaway instead! :rotfl:
    Must get some sleep, goodnight.

....queenie... Mmmmmmmmm i made the jam crumblies. i baked them in the oven though as it was on anyway, also added a couple drops of almond oil.. they are sooo scrummy yummy, do they freeze ok ?
OOoooh, yes indeedy :D I like to make a batch and freeze them ahead for packed lunches (the oats lowers the GI value and so they are great for keeping my lads tummy's rolling along until lunchtime! Oops, did I say they go in the *lunch* boxes? Greedy beggars eat them on their morning break :rotfl: )

Almond oil is good!! I've used that when I have no vanilla :D

Wouldn't keep them in the freezer until hell freezes over though ... .. should be good for a couple of months, but no more I should think :D
