    Morning :hello:

We've had our office moved round and my PC screen is now in my boss's direct sightline - so this is just a quick post while he's not here ;)

Was really tired yesterday because as well as going back to work after ten days off, I didn't sleep too well the previous night (thanks to a weird dream about trying not to wake sleeping lions!) Luckily I had a nice early night and feel much better today.

After work this afternoon I have a meeting about the youth project I help with, then I need to go and do a fairly major supermarket run as I am providing a picnic for myself and a friend tomorrow. Then I have to cook what I've bought. I think I'll do salmon with salad, as it's easy and tastes good cold, and then do a potato salad with some of the Jersey Royals I bought cheap last week, and a tomato and mozzarella salad. For pud I think I will cop out and get something ready-made :o

Will also knock up a batch of carrot and coriander soup for the freezer.

Lunch today is mushroom risotto, part of the delicious batch I did last night

Didn't read the thread yesterday so have lost track of who needs ((((hugs)))) but hope everybody is reasonably well!

    Love Rzl xx

Back again :j Day's been a bit mixed. Just got an e-mail from DH. He's arrived, absolutely shattered, but had his mobile stolen on a stopover in Bankok   It's his work one, brand new (unlike his own, which is a bit of a brick  ). Don't know how he'll stand when he gets back to work

Got a coupon through the post from Mr T for £7 off if I spend £50. My shop came to £50.47 :T so with other coupons, I paid just over £40 :T :T Went to the farm shop for some fruit and veg (nicer than Tesco and half the price).

Picked up our new chainsaw    so DH will have a new toy to play with once he's home from his travels.

A friend rang to invite DS and I for supper. She had a rabbit who DS and DD *bunny-sit* when she's away (quite often, on business) so DS will chat with the rabbit!

Got home to find that the chimney sweep had been and the gas engineer (same man, different van ;) ) was just finishing. I can't settle when there are *people* in my house, so great to get 2 jobs done while I was out :D

Off to make omelette for DS's lunch, then outside.

    Morning everyone!

Congratulations on the exam results Queenie, and roll on Friday when you pick up your car.

Rain, rain, rain here. Been to the Gym (DH is working this morning so it was easy to slip out), been to the local farm shop to get veggies for dinner today, and been to the bank to pay in my final tax rebate from last year.

Just finished a lovely poached eggs on toast with fresh coffee lunch. Got the eggs at a local place which sells bedding plants! They had just been collected (were still warm!), and were only £1 for six large ones (60p for small ones). Absolutely fab, will definitely go there again. BargainRzl you might want to let your dad know about it, as it's near to where he lives. On the B3024, near the Red Lion (othert side of the road though), there's a bedding plant place. The eggs are by the till.

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday as I got engrossed in housework: deep cleaned the living room, i(ncl windows, pictures, floors, french windows etc), and then deep cleaned the hall, incl windows, front door, under the stairs). Then "helped" DH dig out the old concrete washing line post. It was concreted in with nearly two foor deep of concrete, it was a b*gger to get out. Involved lots of leveraging (DH), with me chucking dirt underneath it to try and bring it to the top IYSWIM. Lastly, I planted some new bedding plants in the front garden.

More housework planned for today, I'm going to deep clean the bathroom upstairs and the downstairs cloakroom. The ceiling needs painting - lots of black smokey marks because I always bathe in candlelight. I might do that too, see how I feel.

Well, I'll pop back later to catch up on everyone elses news. Have a great day

    Ohhh, Scuzz ((((((hugs))))) for you.

Hazel, well done on the eggs. I bought some from the farm shop last week, but they're so insipid that I won't be using them in plain sponge cake again. Made DS an omoelette for lunch, and he keeps asking when we can get our own eggs again. Going to ask DH if we can get a couple of laying hens to see us through until we get our chicks. We'll need to do some repairs and improvements to the run first, though.

Just came back to comment on Big Brother. I won't be watching, either, but as I haven't seen it before, that won't be a big change. However, just spotted on the BBC that all the contestants will be female, and one will be member of the WI. Bit of OS for BB :confused:

So do I, but only cause DH put 3 full length funny shaped mirrors on the wall next to the bath, and two on the opposite wall to the bath, and when I stand up to get out of the bath, well quite frankly its shocking!
