    Morning All

    Good Luck Peem

Cant beleive the time already - I got up at 7 dont know what ive been doing since then!

Dull here and a little cold, have got heating on as Im treating myself to a relaxing bath with some bath bombs I bought the other day. Other than that think we are having a day at home today. Need to write a list of what DD needs to do her homework, and another list of birthday cards and wrapping - have all the presents - have 4 major birthdays the first week in June.

Order of the day will be - get breadmaker on, tidy and wipe kitchen. Some paperwork and loads of ironing. Hopefully kids will amuse themselves today. They both got up early and took the dog for a walk already.

Think will be chilli for dinner.

    Have a great day all.

    Morning everyone :hello:

I haven't been on the OS board for a while. Neither of us has been in the best of health recently. My partner found out that she will have to go onto insulin for her Type 2 Diabetes. She was half expecting this.

At the end of next week we are off work for about 2 weeks and we will be going up to Co Tyrone for a short break. There are a few nice forest parks that we want to visit. We are looking forward to that

Hope everyone has a good day
    :)

Morning Chums, got rather damp at Farming World yesterday but the boys enjoyed themselves. We watched a two-day old lamb feeding from his Mum and my four little tough guys melted like butter. They enjoyed watching the man shear the huge Suffolk sheep as well. .They learnt a lot about the animals and the smallest grandson who is almost three his eyes were popping as he suddenly saw the animals in his farm book at home actually come to life .He was facinated with it all.:j
Came home and popped into Sainsburys for a few odds and ends and bought some neck of lamb that I want to try in my slow cooker ( see above thread) .:D
The weather here is grotty at the moment and the forecast isn't good .We may have to call off Henry and Mikey's Saturday joint party as heavy rain is due .Shame really as my DD had wanted it all outside in the garden .
Henry is six on the 3rd June and Mikey is 3 on the 1st June Still she said she will rearrange it hopefully if the weather gets better for the following week. As it was a joint party with thirty assorted guests that was why she was having it in the garden.
Oh well plan B will have to come into force which means yours truly thinking up a way to cheer up the 4 boys on a raining wet Saturday .Time to put my thinking cap on.

I have the builders coming tomorrow to do some inside work, and then next Monday the landscape chap is starting on my patio so he will be here for a week, and next Wednesday the builder is taking off my flat roof in my bathroom to replace it .I shall be up to my knees in mess next week. Still at least it gets it all over and done with in one go.
The one bright spot next week is I am going with my pal to her old firms luncheon on Friday at the Waldort-Astoria in London .Apparently the firm lay on a luncheon every year for their pensioners, and she can bring a guest. Her husband is working so she asked if I wanted to go so naturally I said yes .It will be nice to be waited on hand, foot and finger in a 'posh' hotel. I promise I won't pinch the salt cellars though;)
I hope everyone has a good day and <<hugs >> to those in need

P.S. Hard-up Hester your Potato ,bacon and onion hot-pot sounds lovely could you share the recipe

    Good morning everyone.
Have my exam this afternoon, so I'm kind of nervous, just looking through my notes now. Having a takeaway for lunch that was in the freezer from last time! Then do the exam and then I'll be meeting my friends for a celebratory coffee.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Its a horrible day here, hasnt stopped raining in hours, pouring down!! had lovely banana bread for brekkie, mm lovely, everyone loved it:D

For all those having probs sleeping ( me included) if u dont like lavender u could try some chamomile, valerian, marjoram, clary sage, sandlewood or lemon, u can make a blend of up to 30 drops of the oils above with 30ml veg oil, this is massaged in before having bath.

Then add 4 drops of chosen essential oil in a bath, water being not too hot or cold, drift off and relax and repeat nightly:D sounds bliss!

    Can u tell i studied aromatherapy then?:rotfl:

Tinkerbelluk Glad u made a choice that u were happy with re work

    Morning all!

How grotty is it out there? Yuck!

Got a few things to do today and when OH arises from his slumber (not until early afternoon I think), we'll start sorting bits and bobs out in the bedroom (ooh er), but first off I'll get what I can done, including getting some white paint, white spirit and some cream cheese for icing the first traybake I made! I followed the basic traybake sponge and added 4 bananas and used brown sugar instead of normal stuff, I sneaked a piece before I froze half, and it tastes yummy! Will make some flapjack today I think!!

Right, gonna pop the kettle on and do my email check, daily clicks etc.

Sending hugs to those who needs them

Have promised myself to not watch Big Brother this year, anyone with me?

Yes. But, on the other hand I have never watched it yet and am not about to start - so not sure my promise not to watch it is that much of a big deal!:D

    Morning.........

OH slept ok last night, but I kept waking up.........this morning he got up for breakfast, but is now back in bed complaining about his knees hurting and light headed GGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR, he drives me nuts sometimes he does not have any chest pain which is great he is such a hyercondriac (spelling)

I am getting very tired myself, waiting on him is a full time job.

Checked my bank account this morning and Nationwide have taken a payment twice and put me into overdraft which I don't have double GGGGGGGRRRRRR
have been onto them, it will be back in tomorrow.......just hope they do not charge me £25 for something that was their fault.

I have a delivery from Tesco coming this morning, but I am going to have to go up to pay some checks in, might leave it till tomorrow......will see how OH is.

Its not a very nice morning, keeps raining although it does not seem to be too cold......once my order comes I will have to take a load of washing down, the bin is full and its sheet week as well.

Wracking my brains what to give OH for supper tonight, he wants something with taste!!!!!!!!! will have to put my thinking cap on............have a couple of leeks in the fridge so a pot of soup as well. Cannot put a loaf on I am waiting for flour........unless I can persude OH to have a white loaf for a change.

A neighbour had just knocked the door, no-one knew that OH had been in hospital, we had managed to keep it quiet, but I think the housing officer spilt the beans after I spoke to him yesterday afternoon..........OH will not be playing bowls for quite a while and he has promised that he will step back at the end of the season.

I need to try and get a nap this afternoon if I can, if OH has a sleep I might go to bed as well.
