Hi, this is today's Daily Thread. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all
It's Wednesday, so for us Monday to Friday slaves that means we're at the top of the hill and sailing towards the weekend, whooppee! I'm so tired though - hardly any sleep Sunday or Monday night, and here I am up again after just four hours last night. Will try a bit harder to find the lavendar today - Twink, unfortunately Tesco is 12 miles away, so if I don't find it before the weekend I'll go on Saturday.
Big apologies to anyone if I've missed anything major this past few days, I am just too knacked to remember much. Though I did look over the dailies not a lot has stuck between my ears.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning. I was up much earlier today. Had quite an intense evening at work, so although I slept well, woke up early.
Well it's chucking it down with rain and quite bleak out there. I am working today so no big deal for me, but the rest of the house???
Not too much else to say really...NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

Good morning snowy, sorry that you are not sleeping well.... im just so used to having no sleep now that if i go past 3am then its a bonus !!! i think tthat i might too try and get dome of this lavender oil.. where is the best place to get it please ?
nipping out just to see to one lady at work today, then we are going to see Pirates of the Caribbean, we are going to the 12.20 viewing so im taking a roll and munchies for us as i refuse to be ripped off and pay for cinema priced food !
got a nice m&s chicken for dinner, think i might do some cheesy sliced pots with it and some Jamie Oliver style carrots, got fresh pineapple and mango for dessert.
well JammieD... your postman was right about the weather here yesterday, i still thought it was a bit chilly.. but hey.. no rain.. yippppeeee !!!!!!!
i was so upset yesterday as i had to go out and take half of the stalks and leaves of my tom plants.. the wind had damaged them so much, its such a shame, so i wont have as many toms as i thought as most of the damaged stalks had the flowers or baby toms on.. has anyone else had to do this ?
i made peanutbutter flapjacks yesterday, it seemed weird not to have to bake them, they came out fine and i have frozen most of them, going to have a go at queenies crumblies in a mo.
wm is on ( almost finished now ) so i need to do a weather check to see if i can peg it out on the line.
have a great day everyone, hugs to you all

Well surprise, surprise I didn't manage to sleep that well at all as I need to give them my decision about the job by 9.30am
Thanks so much for all of your advice yesterday and the PM's I received they were really appreciated. I think the problem is if I was to look at it on paper it's a no brainier (see I've not even got back to the corporate world but the lingo is back!) but if you add emotions to the mix that's when it's becoming difficult.
So after much soul searching and talking last night I've decided that the carrot they've offered is to large and there is so much opportunity for me to develop, so I'm going to take the job and hope I'm making the right decision.
Worst thing is I can't tell anyone in work until next week as so many people are on holiday. But in one way that may be a good thing as it gives me some time to get used to the idea.
Right, off to get ready for w**k. Hope you all have a great day and take or leave the :grouphug: as needed. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Morning all who have been and those to come.
Well payday today.
Dont know about you but I find this the hardest time. You feel like your bank balance is healthy and you have loads to play with. Not the case so see how I get on.
At work again today hope you all have fun and enjoy your day

:hello: Gooooood Morning fellow OS'ers
Bit tired this morning (cuppa will cure that!). My now d13yo had a wonderful birthday yesterday and was well chuffed with his gifts. I was a real meanie and wouldn't let him open any of the gifts his friends at school gave him on Friday (on the basis it wasn't his birthday Friday) so his anticpation had really built up! He wasn't disappointed
Our meal out was very, very nice, especially as his Dad paid
Received my certificates in the post yesterday too from the exams I'd taken back in Feb/March :j I was so thrilled! And of course, it made it a double celebration
Finally had a test drive of the car yesterday and put down a deposit to hold it until Friday :j :j :j Just need the online payment to Mr T's Visa to clear so I can use it to pay for the car, but because I paid using their online service, it takes 4 days to clear (wish I'd known that before using that facility, would only take 2 days using a debit card  ) Oh well, they say patience is a virtue.
Old Style front today will be the laundry, making up a big batch of yogurt, bread making, cake making - then this afternoon, we might be going out depending on the weather.
Have a great Wednesday one and all, ((hugs)) for free, take them or leave them.

Good Morning everyone
Chilly day here in Berkshire with some drizzle, still I don't have to be at work till 9 so that's a bonus.
My kettle stopped working today so I counting the money in the penny jar to see if I can buy a new one. I hate starting the day without a cuppa & water boiled in a pan doesn't taste the same.
I made the C, H & M pies yesterday & the mushroom soup & made some jam tarts too, I'll have to drop them of at my daughters as hubby & I won't eat them.
I've fed the fish & will feed Thumper & Ogden & let them out before I go to work, my garden is enclosed by 6ft fences & I like them to have the run of it during the day, though Thumper sometimes eats the flowers, Ogden only eats the grass.
When I get home I will finish altering the dress I'm wearing on Saturday, I'm doing Potato, onion & bacon hotpot tonight & will set it going in the SC in a mo.
Hope everyone has a good day
Hugs
Hester

Good morning everyone,
Queenie - glad DSs birthday went well, and well done you on your exams!!!
Tinkerbelle - glad you have made your decission, im sure it will be the right one for you xx
Amie - dont forget to wait until after ALL the credits have gone up for POTC3, there is an extra little bit at the end of the film (maybe in case they do a POTC 4!!!)
Well, im joining Snowy in the no sleep brigade, im even thinking of trying the lavender (but i hate the smell of it) so not sure if its for me.
Not as busy today, 2 LOs and 2 BOs (big ones) as well as my 2, DS might want to invite his mate over, but the BOs are easier than the LOs so an extra one wont hurt.
No major plans, still need to do some baking - wanted to do scones as i took some clotted cream out of the freezer on Friday, its been in the fridge ever since, and is still smelling ok - do you think it will still be ok? Dont want to be giving anyone food poisoning!!! Also need to sort out my ebay pile, the fact that tomorrow is a 5p listing day should help spur me on (hopefully, ive been saying that for a few weeks now!!!).
Ok, better get on before the first one gets here,
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
