You wash your pjs every day?

Don't you get sick of washing and ironing if youre washing your clothes after every wash?

I probably wash my pjs every few days. Granted I'm not a sweaty person but Ive often had a shower just before I go to bed so its not like they're going to get dirty?

Im starting to think this is how global warming started :rotfl:

I wash most clothes after wearing them a couple of times, apart from jeans which get washed a lot less. The only thing that gets washed after one use is underwear and socks.

I'm with you why on earth would nightwear need to be fresh on each night. :o

My electric bills are high enough without extra unnecessary washing.

I feel a bit :o reading about people who wash clothes after just one wear!

Here's what I do, am I unusually dirty? :rotfl:

Knickers, socks, t-shirts against my skin, sports gear - 1 wear
Dresses, leggings, shirts, tops that aren't against my skin - 2 wears
Skirts, jeans, bras - 3-4 wears
    Pyjamas - 5-6 wears
    Towels - weekly
    Bedlinen - fortnightly
Coats, jackets, scarves, hats - when they're dirty!

Any of the above are washed instantly when they get stained, obviously.

Feel free to judge me, go on! I can take it!! :D

I had to start washing my bedding every week when I started letting the dogs on the bed.

I'm not going to confess to how often I did it before that. :o

    Sounds fine to me.

I wash my netball clothes after each game, because they get sweaty, and left for a week and then worn again they would be 'orrible!

I do pretty much the same as you Tayforth - except bras a bit more often (they are next to the skin, armpits, etc) and sheets weekly, duvet covers fortnightly.

Apart from bedding which is weekly and coats which are as and when everything else is after one use. Especially towels... Imagine using a towel that's been on your bits on your face! Albeit my partner would never wash anything until it walked itself to the machine if he wasn't with me.

However... I don't iron. Nothing nada Nowt sees an iron. (Except shirts which my OH irons for himself). So I only wash it, bung it in the dryer and put it away again.

I think you're normal btw... Especially pjs but I can't sleep in "dirty" pjs, they're next to skin as I don't wear underwear under them. So I have fresh ones every night.

I tend to rotate bras, and rarely wear the same one two days running. After taking one off, I hang it on the drawer so that it can 'air' - I don't put it into the drawer until the next morning.

I used to wash them more often, but by doing this I find that they don't wear out so quickly. :o

Ok, I wouldn't use a towel on my bits and then my face! :rotfl: But I tend to have 3 towels on the go at a time - face towel, hair towel and bath towel. I don't actually towel dry my bits, I wrap myself in the bath towel and potter about for a bit until I get dressed. By then, I'm dry! So my towels are quite clean for a week :)

    I don't iron either btw! Life's too short :D

Can I ask how many pairs of pyjamas you own? I wear mine next to my skin too, have never thought of changing them daily as I don't move around much in bed :o

I like your thinking! Pink dye would amuse me more than bleach though possibly :rotfl:

Just leave a stray red sock sitting in the "empty" machine out of sight. ;)

As for the rest....regardless how clean PJ's are when you put them on, you're still getting into a dirty bed unless you wash and change your bedsheets daily too.

However, there is such a thing as "too clean". Germs can be good to a certain extent as exposure to them in small doses can help build your immune system.

As with everything in life, its good to find a healthy balance.

Well, you don't use bath towels on your face, surely? There are three sizes of towels...hand towels, which are small things just for...well, hands and that's also so that guests using the loo don't have to use your body towels. Standard towels are for drying faces and arms and most of the upper bits you wash at the wash basin. Bath towels are for all over including your bits and yes, I wouldn't use them on faces or hands tbh. Imagine going through to wash your hands before prepping food and using a towel that someone's been flossing their bum crack with? That's not hygienic!

At any one time I have four bath towels out (one per person, hung up to dry and changed every three days or so, a communal use towel for faces that's changed every day and a hand towel, also changed every day or if guests are due I put a new one out. But small towels are easily washed.

Re bras.....I hand wash them, usually in the bathroom and this also makes them last much longer. Mine never go in the drawers between wears, just hand of the corner post of my bed:o

I don't wear night wear, and in this kind of muggy weather I want to wash my sheets more than weekly. I used to wash my bedding twice weekly till mse old stylers pulled me up on it....and they are right, most f the year its fine to go a whole week.
If I wore pjs maybe I'd even feel it was ok to go longer.

I use a top sheet so don't need to do a duvet cover often....and ATM have a quilt rather than a. Duvet anyway,
