  • Oh no, Honey Bear - double-whammy!

DanceMum - not sure if your possible news is another Oh No! or a Whoopie! :rotfl:

Pigpen - the tiles are lovely. One question though. Are they a smooth or raised surface? If they are raised, they could be a devil to keep clean in a kitchen with cooking grease etc., catching on all the bevels. Do you have the time for all that palaver? Just a thought.

Went off to the pictures and put 4 plates and forks in the car with us so we could grab a Chinese before we went in. OH dashed off to get tickets. Superman had already started and they were very strict that the kids couldn't watch World War Z. OH had checked before we left and saw it was a PG13 and although the kids are 12 and 9, they do watch older stuff. Anyhow, we got there and they said that PG13 was the US Film Classification Rating. UK is PG15. So we sat in the car park overlooking Asda's petrol station eating our Chinese.

    My weekends seriously rock!

    I like the tiles

well, what did I do today?

Posted passport application. Refused to pay extra and was warned as old passport in envelope. However I have since remembered it was expired anyway. Slightly concerned as notes told me to make chq payable to Identity and Passport service (or some such) while website, which had the price on, said her Majesty's passport office.
Took DD to pick up new bike, played shed tetris and cleaned shed, we have 5 bikes and there are only 3 of us.. plans are to sell old (outgrown) bikes.
pegged out washing, brought it in, pegged it back out...ironed 2 maidensful.
Cleaned kitchen. Took DD to work, collected DS from GFs, collected DD from work. Added to collection of 'fake' trolley coins...
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

    Thank you Honey Bear
  • You're blitzing through those lists, MMM - looks like you've found a way that works for you. Hope you and DH come through the mire and out the other end soon.

This week I am going to look for the tiles for the kitchen before the entirety of DS3's backdated DLA disappears (I transferred a substantial proportion to his bank account and stocked up on his consumables so he isn't going to do without)

Shouldn't ALL his DLA be for him and his needs? Forgive my ignorance but I thought the money went to the child for care needs. Are there not direct payments made? Surely that is open to all kinds of abuse?

it's backdated payments following a long period but in pretty sure pigpen has still been making sure he has what he needs during that time from other sources.
Or perhaps she should have not let him have anything whilst his DLA was messed up and now he can have all his treatment at once?
