It is money I have already laid out for his needs from my money and the other childrens money as it took 6 months for them to sort his claim so on this occasion.. No..
DLA for a child is paid to the parent .. direct payments are totally different.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
So we are up and breakfasted but not dressed. We've put DS scalextric away as its "rubbish"
and just built his Thomas and friends loader instead. So we are out in conservatory, but had to have heater on for 10min brrr.
In a couple of hours I'm taking them to an out of town shopping centre, see if we can get DD some pumps to fit. There is mothercare, Asda living, next and Clarkes so hopefully we won't come home empty handed. There is also poundstretcher, as my airer has poked right through the top of its cover. Plus a poundworld and poundlandso we may purchase some tat
Washing folded and put away. Bit more to do but wet again here so might leave till Tuesday. So not loads to achieve today, for once! Holiday in 5.5wks :T
I might spend an hour in the realm of DD clothing after yesterday's hand-me-down influx and try sort them into this summer and winter piles.
I had some money in my PayPal from an eB@y sale last month, and last night found some toddler bikinis for £2 - I only want the bottoms as she has the uv swim tops - so I got a few, postage wasn't bad combined so happily will have about 5 bottoms for her, which is great as when she's out of the pool she wants dry things on, so numerous changes required.
Better check DS swimmy sizes too - he's getting big. But no bottom, lol, so might be ok in the baby ones from last year.
Can you tell I'm excited? I haven't had a 2 week holiday since we went to Cyprus for our wedding!Bossymoo

Big fat cat booted outside... dirty thing trotted up the hallway to pee on the stairs!!!!! It is only a bit of rain you vile animal!! No wonder all I can ever smell in here is wee!! What with cats and boys and toilet training toddlers!!! GGgrrrrr
DD3 hasn't learned to keep her mouth to herself from yesterday it appears.. so it may well be she is getting a few more bawling outs this week.. I am totally pig sick of her!!
I am starving.. I went to bed last night to avoid eating everything in sight and woke up this morning wanting to eat the 3 bears!!
You can't even tell the kitchen has been mopped.. or 1/3rd of it has.. it is just nasty in there stillGuess I get to sort that next!

Morning all
Bossy my DS3 used to love the Thomas loader toy
Dry here ATM so DH is taking DS3 to cricket, he does't often get to watch the matches and I'm going to do some laundry, ebay photos FREE LISTING WEEKEND, and maybe HH in the garden.
Need to pop to the shops for something for dinner later and finish emptying the boys rooms, not much left to do.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I think the key word in pigpen's post was BACKDATED - I am guessing you've never had the joy of dealing with DLA have you?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

I've never had an experience like this last one.. it was horrendous... I was on the phone every single week for several months.. I think they just processed it in the end to shut me up!! lol.
I have put in a complaint as well.. it was ridiculous! They since took 3 weeks to sort Moomins.. mind you, I did put a note on hers requesting they didn't lose her forms, pretend they'd not received them or take 6 months to sort it out.. however nice a backdated payment would be I'd prefer to not have to try to find the money for her additional needs for 6 months.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Humm...
have you got a stalker Piggers? Anyway, other posters have stated the obvious so I won't add, other than to thank Bossy and CY.

Morning all
I spent some of Friday evening with HHCs in various rooms and getting ready for our outing yesterday - club trip to Southport with DH and DS2. The weather wasn't great, but it stayed dry and we had a good time. I spent a bit more than planned, but not huge amounts.
Too tired last night to do much other than have a bath and collect DS1 from work, though. Time to look at my list now, then whittle it down to what absolutely needs doing today.
The weather forecast for this week is great, so I'll do what's urgent and not shove loads in the TD. As long as things to iron are done by Tue evening for DH's ironing session...
Hoover/mop floors as needed
clean kitchen sink
empty and load DW
clear and wipe DR table
Sort and make a start on Mt Washmore
make DS1's tea for work
take DS1 to work
check fridge/freezer and write shopping list
quick trip to Mr M's and JF's for groceries
update finances
HW and reading with DS2
Cook tea
busy week ahead, so some things to organise for that
Marking and planning
I think that's enough to keep me entertained. If I don't charge my kindle until later at least I won't be tempted to spend the day reading.0 -

yes.. it is quite flattering really
I just shoved the next load in the TD... I'm guessing my bedding will all need changing again today after Squeak has been asleep in there a few hours.. her nappy cannot cope overnight as it is and an extra 3 hours sleep = a very soggy bed!!!! I shall just smugly sit here and think of OH laid asleep cuddling her in the wetness.. I have to get my kicks in small dosesLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Piddling down here and I have 2 baskets of wet washing so will put that on the indoor lines down the corridor that leads to the garden and open the bottom door. It won't dry properly for days I reckon, but we are forecast for better weather Mon, Tue and Wed, so it can finish off outside another day. I WILL NOT PUT MY TD ON, I WON'T!
Bathroom needs cleaning - OH has been doing a spot of DIY in there - I'm happy he's listening to my [STRIKE]nagging [/STRIKE]chirping, but I do wish he'd sweep up after himself. He's scraped off all the gloss paint from the window panes he painted when we moved in 2 years ago :T My hair also needs dyeing - the great declutter yesterday exposed far too many greys this time.
So that's my next hour sorted - a little bit of Me time, combined with a bit of flying.
