  • okay - who hid the hair dye?

Been searching for over an hour and it still hasn't turned up. The positive to this is that a lot of gibble has been returned to its rightful home.

We've been looking after a friend's kids since 10am and now another set of visitors have arrived with their 2 boys. As we live on a farm and it is raining, you can imagine the state of their clothes. Have just re-dressed the first set of kids into their spares and the WM is on again. Downstairs will have to get swept and mopped tomorrow as it is full of mud and straw thanks to them playing on hay bales for 3 hours. Everyone fed. First set of kids are on the xbox, the visitors have just rediscovered the hay bales :(

2 lots of washing on the outdoor lines under the trees having a blow. Did put it on the inside lines, but the weight of the towels collapsed them.

Have you got room for another flylady?

I have been lurking for some time and have noticed a massive difference in my house. I am also trying to declutter at the same time and this has made it easier to clean.

Today I have cleaned the kitchen worktops, washed the kitchen floor, vacuumed downstairs, made bolognaise for tomorrow as I will be at work all day tomorrow so it is ready just to heat up, dusted downstairs, cleaned toilet and bathroom, got Mr T delivery and put away and made beds x 3.

Just having some lunch and then I am going to get on with filing some paperwork.

    Have a good day

    Quick check-in

A load of washing on the clothes dryer
Banana muffins in the oven - had three overripe bananas and didn't want to throw them away, so instead decided to bake

    Still to do:
Cook rice for this week - my mealplan includes two dishes with rice and I'll have rice today as well, so might as well batch cook it
    Change bed

    Oooh a stalker piggers :rotfl:

Towels all dry and put away, plus last of washing. Tried to have a chat with DD about her birthday. Yes she does want a party, just with mummy and DS. And can Emily come? Lol. And Jack. Lol. So a tea party at home or a play centre party? Play centre. Or a hall with a bouncy castle? Ooh yes! So a bouncy castle, not a trampoline and slide? No no, trampoline, mummy. Lol.

I will ask her again later (maybe a dozen times and see which reply I get most of).

We've unpacked our bags, kids are playing mums and dads, but other than toys we are fairly straight. I've found a home for my fabric pile and put the dining room back to rights. I've emptied kitchen bin, flung some old bath toys and put DDs washed old shoes on charity pile. Had to sneak a pair of sandals out she thinks are for her hols but her toes poke over the end...

Right, my next job is to sit on my arris and work out what the best car insurance deal is...

Gggrrr.. how come you just get into the swing of flinging and someone wants to go to bed???

I managed to fill a binbag of rubbish and a box for the loft though.. before being called downstairs to deal with snoozers. Dot now in bed and Squeak asleep on the sofa.. very unlike herself!

Kitchen it is then.. cuppa anyone??? I might forage too, I am rather peckish again.

Does anyone know where I could buy (retail) feminine hygiene disposal bags? Our two current lodgers are young women and there are going to be a lot of men around over the next few weeks. The shower room loo bin needs to be a bit more unisex-looking if you get my drift. I've been looking a very desultory way for quite a long time but don't seem to have come up with a solution yet. Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Hi all

    Welcome tracy12

Rain is threatening here today and the wind is blowing a hooley.

Never mind, maybe I needed a day to relax a bit and not sort more in the garden

    Amazon?

The supermarkets sell them too.. I'm guessing they'd be with the pads... or just dog poo bags.. not nappy sacks they are usually see through.

Does sound like squeak is sickening for something...

Well I have compared the meerkat plus a few others and have quotes ranging from £285 to £1,300 :rotfl: mmmm which to choose...

I will call @dmiral tomorrow, seem to think they matched me last year (had multicar from them the previous year which was good value) but can't imagine they will deduct £100 - still you never know! If not, Sh3ila's Wheels it is!!!

Need to decide what's for dinner, littlies are nattering for more food - we've not long since had lunch! They had gammon and cucumber wraps with some cheese and fruit (and a freddo bar :o) but apparently that does not suffice. I wish they liked to eat the same things...

I would use scented nappy bags TBH - bet you can get them in a nifty dispenser, these days, too. That way they can be tied off; which means the contents will remain discreet.

The paper ones in public loos are used because they will be incinerated once they're in use.
