:T well done to your son indie :j Great news and so glad he never let the bullies get him down. I was bullied at school and met one of them years later at work who seemed very embarrassed when she saw me. Although I never forgot what she did to me I acknowledged her and helped her in the job which made her even more embarrassed!
You must be very proud
We don't get many hornets here Alfie/fire**fly but lots of wasps too much to DH's annoyance as he's terrified of them!
Sorry your son is away for his bday Sheils but I'm sure he will celebrate it well when his brother goes over tooAlfie is right though, you never stop worrying about the kids no matter how old!
You've got me fancying strawberries now fire**fly! I've got some ice cream in so will get some when I pick kids up.I love all the exotic fruit but it's just so expensive! I've just had a juicy nectarine
Well done on the win ILC! :j I'm still waiting on some eye shadow from that comp.
With the Nisa comp bishopsgirl I tend to just do one entry daily (when I remember to do it) so I don't think I would get 100 entries anywayGood luck with it!
Well I never got the job but got asked to put on the supply as a teaching assistant & care assistant too. They said I was over qualified for the job I went for but highly respected in the placeSo I think it worked out well in the end!
I would have had 3 jobs Sheils, my home support/resource worker job, the lunchtime assistant with the SEN kiddies and the care assistant but that would have run in with lunchtime anywayAt least with the supply, if I have to take DD to hospital I can say if I can come in or not.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Alfie, I tend to use fabric conditioner on mine anyway (when I have a washer that is!) but they still come out rough too! I must admit I do like soft towels. My mum bought me a bath sheet from Turkey last year and it washes lovely and soft unlike my others!
Ooh that time again, better go get my other two! SYS xxBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

I think it worked out well for you love re the job - well done anyway, but I always think there is a good reason the way things work out. :A
One tip I got re towels was to dry them or nearly (or dampen them down again, what a carry on!!) then shove them into drier for 20 mins or so with one of them bounce sheets?
Omg! May just advise family when they stay to run around naked for 10 mins to dry off after showers ......... that should work out ok!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Would love to see the neighbours faces !!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Come on alf - get a grip - think the heat's going to me head!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: xxxxx

I thought it was always recommended to not use Fabric Conditioner with bath towels.
Sheils: I always thought you weren't a force to be reckoned with :rotfl:
Better have an early tea - what about Scampi?
Coconut water emails mentioned on a MSE thread, somebody replied and that seems to have been forwarded on to everybody!0 -
bishopsgirl wrote: »Has anyone in the inn entered the Nisa/Loco 100 entries allowed comps and if so do you think it is one entry per day or could you enter a few or more times per day?
Am I making any sense at all or just being dense reading the terms and conditions?
Hi Bishopgirl - I usually enter and few a day until I reach 99 and keep a note of how many I have done is that makes any sense but my Sister enters all 100 at once.
If you want a coll G & t Lisa you go for it I say.
firefly - bet its too hot for you in the garden today, we have just got some NB for tonight.
Alfie, agree the car does give that independence. We went for the 10.30 bust to Chester-le-Street today and it didn't arrive so we took the car instead.
Sheils - hope you get the windscreen sorted out soon it seems to be dragging on a bit for you. Cherries sound nice. We got grapes and nectarines today.
Wingo - glad the interview went well for you and wasn't too stressful. That's good you Mam putting on 4lb. I am sure your DD will have a lovely time away.
Hi Bishopgirl nice to hear from you. Don't forget to wave when you pass through.
Post came with an interesting looking letter for me but when I opened it it was Jury Service. That will hamper the comping somewhat.
SYLBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -

I've done a couple on each ones I want to enter not long ago,
then I spread them across each day when doing dailies in the mornings, sometimes go back in the afternoon if I've time x
Thanks for your help fire**fly. Think I will try and do a couple in the morning and then a couple in the afternoon or evening.
Gosh I am beginning to sound organised. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Edit. Thanks for you help too wingo and sylvia. Don't think I will manage the 100 but am going to give it a try. Will try and keep a count like you sylvia.Be Lucky Everyone0 -

:j Back from dentist and didn't need any treatment :j
bishopsgirl, I'm like you, and fire**fly's sister, I really love the heat. :T I'm a real wimp with the cold though
Alfie - when we lived in Spain I had the same trouble with drying towels in the sunshine. I either used to hang them under cover (car port) which helped a bit or let them get almost dry and tumble dry them to fluff them up. I know it seems a bit extravagant but they only need about 20 minutes to half an hour. I always use a little bit of softener but not a full measure. They dry softer outside when there's a breeze
Reading the stories of bullying really makes me mad  Well done sheils and wingo and indie's son for managing to overcome it :T
wingo - how lovely that you're so well thought of :j :A
ILC - Scampi sounds good. We've got salmon tonight
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone xx
ETA - No coconut email for me either0
