Nice one firefly. Have had a lovely salad to tea, I had crab sticks which I love and Fred had quiche which was left from yesterday.

Alfie - its lovely to have something to look forward to. Have you got someone to look after Puddy which you are away?

We have been finding it a wee bit hot n sticky to be honest.

Windows, doors etc opened but still fairly hot - however the sky is just starting to cloud over very slightly now and tiny breeze outside so getting a rest from hot sun at the mo.:) :j Hopefully it will cool down a bit for night time. xxx

Yep, I couldn't leave puddy unless I had a very happy place for her. Else I would fret big time!! We have a wonderful family run (very small business) kennel and cattery just down the road. They are brilliant.

We have used them over the years and they look after the furry residents as if they are their own. :A:A

My daughter and son in laws big lump of hug labrador plus their cat plus my puddy all stay there quite happily, come out shining with health, beautifully groomed and have obviously been thoroughly spoilt!!!!

Peace of mind! We also have very kind neighbours who will keep a check also while they stay there.

Very rarely leave puddy, but if I have to, then it's lovely to know she's in safe hands.

Well, I am having my drink... not a G&T, exactly, but a stiff vodka with pink lemonade which I've had in the freezer for an hour. Really nice, even if it does sound a bit 'Barbie'!

Anyway, does anyone know anything about bees? I always thought they just lived in hives. But I planted a tray of seeds several weeks ago and I have snapdragons and cornflowers growing happily in it (free seeds from Shredded Wheat! - I do like my freebies...) and this bee has come along and drilled a tunnel in my seed tray. He goes in the entrance in the evening, i.e. just now, and disappears. Now, what could he be doing, a solitary bee? Anyone heard of anything like that? I hope I'm not about to grow lots and lots of bees! (:
