DDT was being sprayed next to a maternity hospital by government researchers in the eighties. We use chemicals that were banned in the US decades ago.0

But in turn, we ban some stuff they still use. In research much research we cannot do because it would never get past ethics panels here but does in US, and some other countries.
And they ban decent cheese!
I don't believe there is a they are right and we are wrong situation. Frankly I think we've all made great mistakes and continue to do so. And in rectification there is great risk of throwing the baby out with the bath water.0 -

:j I saw that pic and thought to myself that is a Dexter :j One of the few breeds of cow that I know
Where I kept my horse they had a herd of Dexters and they were truly lovely animals. One had a genetic condition with prevented his growth and he was the size of a large dog and so endearing. Unfortunately the herd didn't make it through the Foot and Mouth outbreak. That was heartbreaking.
I have been running about all day from one place to the next trying to do a million things at once. Still got loads to do before bed.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

One of the reasons I moved here is because there is no massive field pesticide spraying. As there are no crops here as it's too rough. I'm a bid old school - a bit Rachael Carson when it comes to tinkering too much with nature. It'll bite you back.
Too much spraying because of mono cropping coz of big business profit is a no no in my book.0
