Pleased with this [STRIKE]penstemon[/STRIKE]campanula in its 1st year, netted soft-fruits behind and an amaryllis in leaf to refresh the bulb

I'm trying to see what bird it is, lir, a robin??

Last year we had a Mrs Blackbird in the house. We think she sneaked into the utility to eat the cat's food & wandered through to the kitchen & couldn't find her way back out again. The amount of poop she left behind was unbelievable when we eventually got her out :rotfl:

Beautiful flowers, Ihs, so delicate :)

Hmmm. I'm not so good with birds 8'm afraid. It wasn't a robin though.

I thought maybe one of the pipets? It had quite a long beak. I didn't take a close up because I didn't think it was fair.

Not enough rain here to do more than start off a new tranche of weeds, but with our utility area open to the sky......:D

Just gave me enough breathing space to finish final potting of the toms. Now I'm planting the sweet peppers in deep beds en masse, rather than water a few dozen pots.

Thanks for all the kitten name suggestions. We tried Mimi, but couldn't get on with it, and although we liked Milly, it didn't quite fit. Anyway, we've settled for Fleur.....at present! :rotfl:

we're having trouble choosing a name for one of the kittens.

the 'normal'-looking one is definitely an izzy, but the fluffy, extrovert, who rolls over and purrs before you even pick her up, is proving more difficult.

We thought hattie would possibly suit, but this was rejected by dd2, and hermione would fit too, but it isn't easily shortened, nor is delilah.

    Any suggestions?

Not that it matters really. Names evolve. After all, poppy, our old tortie, was never called by her real name; she was always 'winkle.':rotfl:
    rolo ? :D

Just wanted to tell someone...I've ordered 4 packs of heirloom seeds (lettuce, kale, squash and a sweet pea).

I live in a rented property and have no gardening experience. Will be trying everything in containers, and attempting to save the seed! I'm both terribly excited and accepting of imminent disaster! All I've grown so far is herbs and sunflowers :o
