    I wish!

I have two, plus a brushcutter, and one of the two is in a sorry state, so it needs to be replaced, toot-sweet.

To be honest, I'd probably benefit from a ride-on as well, but what I do now saves all those trips to the gym. ;)

    Aw!:(

It's coming this way tomorrow, but we have no roof and precious few walls in the utility room, so not even anything to attach a tarpaulin to.

It's not clear how we empty it, if it fills with water....:rotfl:

The shed man felt guilty about not supplying a window with the chicken shed extension, so he is meeting us near here tomorrow and giving us one. :)

We're having trouble choosing a name for one of the kittens.

    2egd54p.jpg

The 'normal'-looking one is definitely an Izzy, but the fluffy, extrovert, who rolls over and purrs before you even pick her up, is proving more difficult.

We thought Hattie would possibly suit, but this was rejected by DD2, and Hermione would fit too, but it isn't easily shortened, nor is Delilah.

    Any suggestions?

Not that it matters really. Names evolve. After all, Poppy, our old tortie, was never called by her real name; she was always 'Winkle.':rotfl:

I tried to google image for examples and then Mse ate my post so I only have one poor example with blue in the mix.http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cNPZSdRgDRE/TmDCq9zoI8I/AAAAAAAAXUQ/8vlzL9apOHs/s640/Blue+and+yellow.jpeg

Ha! That's exactly the colour I was thinking of suggesting LIR (love the wallpaper too) mainly because we've recently done our living room in that same colour...ish I think crown called it honey gold, got it mixed up to order. The walls are this colour, furniture has been painted in shades of grey (not quite 50!) from annie sloan paints, curtains too. We've yet to decide on the flooring so it doesn't match :( but the naff fake terracotta tiles are practical on a farm and cool for the dogs to lie on lately, sadly freezing the rest of the year!

I love the paint mixing service you can get everywhere these days...I've been a bit obsessional about choosing the EXACT right shade of a colour. I now have to decide what colour to paint the plastic coated tin I made my new raised beds out of.

Dave sorry I'm no use with animal names, as you say agonise over them then they get a different nick name anyway! We are now doubling up too, we've got a Charlie cat and dog, a Lily ferret and goat and a Lucky ferret and goose!

Alfie I used to have a mower for the long grass, I held the flap open with a bungee to save emptying, only thing is watch for projectiles flying out at your legs, a tiny bit of twig don't half hurt!

Had a mare of a day pouring concrete, got a lorry load delivered as we've done before, but it started going off within about 90 minutes and was barely workable after that, the surface is awful :(

I know it's warmer than usual but I'd still expect to have a bit more time to work. We think there was something wrong in the mix, it was bone dry when the lorry turned up and we asked for more water to go in...I haven't actually paid for it yet and hopefully they'll agree there's a problem otherwise it's a good several hundred quid gone  and that's before we put it right.

I'm being uncharacteristically calm and pragmatic about it, I would normally be jumping up and down!

Well I'm also looking forward to a bit of rain tomorrow but not too much, I must get all the dry firewood indoors and put my veg plants in the ground, so they can get watered in the easy way!

    Night all!

Hermione shortens to Mimi, or nini. I like it.

Kitties are gorgeous, Dave. My contribution is 'Matilda' (Tilly or Tilda for short) :)

what lovely ideas for names! We have a Milly cat who had a sister called Tilly when she lived with her other mummy and daddy up the road.

Just jogged my memory, I need to pass on the number of a local cat rescue to a friend I bumped into yesterday, she's after a couple of ratters!

We could do with the same here, it's seems to be a bad year for them  or I could let a couple of my precious house cats outside to earn their keep :rotfl:

Off to make the most of our last dry day, loads of washing to get out on the line!

Excuse mess. The bird got trapped in the kitchen, and when I walked in flew at the window and bumped its head. But not too hard thankfully.

So I opened the stable doors and popped it on the edge. It had a nap, and got its breath back and then woke up and looked around. For a while I feared it wasn't going to leave and then , thank fully, it flew away. :)
