Bit of frost here early, but nothing much. Lovely calm day, but no good for a bonfire with this wind direction.

DW poorly still, but improving. As I'm going a bit stir-crazy I might take a walk in some overgrown woods I know, to see what there is in there....;) Fishing season starts in 2 weeks. :D

    Yep.....

    Frost this morning!

Day alright though, Hunt are parking in my drive this morning (keeps them sweet to me rest of the year) so birds staying in today.

    :huh::think::huh:

I've just woken up and have just taken that in.

The Hunt? as in A Hunt that goes out hunting animals?

Must confess to wondering what they would do to you that constituted "not being sweet" to you for rest of year if you said "Ahem...you're a Hunt ...and this is my territory...hop it buster"?

Just feeling rather puzzled here...as I'd just have the police on speed dial if they didn't like being told to hop it and took revenge later in year. Are they being threatening to you about being allowed to use your territory?

OH is away to sale today, got a trailer to sell. Never used this place before so hope it goes ok.

All my hard work from the other weekend has come undone as the wind has pulled the coverings off the veg patch much to the hens delight.

    Feel the urge to bake.

You can do that if you're Sting, Brian May or Paul Mc Cartney!

I could do it personally...as little Ms Ordinary In the Street. They'd be gone quick sharp or I'd be looking into trespass thoughts/local newspaper article about trespass thoughts/or just plain set the local hunt saboteurs onto them. I used to know at least where to start in finding people like that if I wanted to in last location. I've now got 3 "know everyone around here" type contacts and I'm guessing I could find my way to get hold of some if need be by now:rotfl:

They, nor any hunt, have EVER ben threatening to me nor not observed my boundaries.

Things like last year when io lost two of my horses I was given preferential treatment as a 'hunting farmer' even though I'm not with help with disposal (our local hunt don't usually take fallen stock any more unless of hunting farmers or hunt members), especially as my fallen stock was useless for them. . I also get to a few favours from a farmer who is area representative, the kind of favours some one with my kind of land holding and no machinery struggles without. We also get bits for dissection for the rare clinics we run here via them, much closer than nearest abbatoir.

The thing is money, people have different opinions. There is room for all of us to coexist and respect each other and disagree without offensiveness. I am by nature a libertarian I think, and even though I choose not to hunt (now) , I do benefit froM their services, and I do I have No problem with the hunt parking here, even though I choose myself not to join them even were I able these days.

FK..... no its not that type of auction.... in fact going by what I seen today... it was total naff crap tat lol...

Think what you are looking for would either be ffairfach, or whitland which is on the same day as ffairfach... never been to that one.

No not going to pig auction Friday, got too much to do over the next week or two... we went to the last one, and took 3 large well grown on porkers.... got £60 and £40 each, still waiting for payment....

There were loads of pigs there..and the prices were totally erractic.. loads of piglets didn't even sell for a £1 ( but they were runty cross looking things) and then good chunky piglets went for £50 each...

After the auction we went out and about, and went up the ranch.... really wish it would have been nice weather tomorrow, could have started doing a bit of outdoor work there...

Luceille sorry about the trailer.... hopefully it will bring a good price on the bay, OR advertise it on 'facebook'

    YEP!!!! LOL....

Glad hubby manage to sell it, our livestock trailer was in the farm auction... and the bidding didn't reach what the seller wanted, so in fairness the auctioneer said to the seller to come to some sort of agreement off the books so no commission would be charged... The seller had sold with the auctioneers for years... with their sheep etc... ended up still buying it for what our auction bid was, but the seller didn't have to pay the commission...
