Just sinking in now huh dave? Happy birthday
Amazing weather, I had the big doors in the cheese room open and the sun poured in and spring filled the room. Now all of a sudden, with dark fall a hail storm as arrived. coming down like a frenzy of maracas.0 -
CTC - thanks, yes the bay is doing surprisingly well right now - have to admit I take all the credit as it was me that suggested we should be doing more B.I.Ns than auctions
Need to get motivated to list the mountains of general collectables/clothes etc - many of which came from my parents' house when it was sold 18 months ago, but I just can't bring myself to go through it all
LIR - we had that hail (and sleet) at about 3.30pm. Prior to that it was lovely and sunny, then after a whole it cleared up, the blue skies returned and we were able to get the dogs out for a run
DH has been making amazing headway with the dining room - still to decide though if we'll remove *Captain Hook*'s (that's what we call the PO, lol!) faux beamed wall separating the current snug from the dining room to make one larger, more useable space - as we need to get it decorated and new floor down ASAP & preferably before the new windows go in week beginning 17th March. There's *a lot* to do - and we need to get half the sitting room decorated/floor laid too and the plaster still isn't dry.......plus we still have no plumber
Dave - belated Happy Returns for last month and hope the panto is a huge success
We're off to London tomoz as DH is taking me to the theatre to see Laurence Fox in 'Strangers on a Train' as a birthday treat and we'll also be having dinner with DS and his GF before they do a spot of dog-sitting for us:D:D Might even splash out and have my first glass of wine since December!
Have a good weekend guys & girlsMortgage-free for fourteen years!

Yup, like Cleopatra having a swim, I was in denial. (Sorry, still in Panto mode!) but the lure of £6k + extra per annum finally made me warm to accepting the pensioner tag.

Happy Belated Birthday Davesnave.... I would say its only a bloody number anyway, but in your case it is a number that means you get some extra Wonga....... Things were great at the beginning of the week, but now has steadily gone to poo..
Alfie looks as though we're not going to be able to go to the craft thing in Farnborough... we will just have to cut our loses there... more staff off work, and with a deadline of the 15th of march to empty 2 units... and carry on doing our daily work... its stress city here... Will pm you to let you know about the you know whats etcWork to live= not live to work0 -

The fact that we'll no longer be spending more than comes in is the best thing about it. Always knew the years 60-65 would be tough.
Sorry things are stressful for you ATM. Hope it all sorts itself out in March when you move premises.0 -
Thanks Davesnave... bad business decision to take on extra work, ended up losing a LOT of money...managed to get out of the extra work, BUT don't know if we can recover from the major losses, due to various things.. only time will tell..(plus another issue, cant go into here)
BUT in the mean time... I am still looking forward... especially if SHTF in work... on how and where we will get our income from...
Boiled our first bit of gammon last night.. OMG it seriously is sooooo different from the supermarket stuff..Work to live= not live to work0 -
RHIWIE........
are you around later??? I need some help in pricing some of my crap to go onto the bay lol...
I am slowly going to go back into listing non-fabric items... etc.. to see if I can make some sort of wage from them...Work to live= not live to work0 -
