:hello:Just signing in to say I'm alive. :j
The throat was doing really well, until tonight..... The rehearsal went, OK but afterwards it was wasn't so good.
Came home around 10pm, went to sleep for a few hours and I'm now back on the medicine. I like the one with the bird on the front best!0 -
morning all,
OOOOO HECK Davenave, lets hope the voice can last out how many nights performances are there???
LIR will PM you the info etc later...
I am sooo in ore of a certain person on here........AMAZING!!!
in the middle of eating a huge box of Maltesers .. that were reduced down to a price that I could not resist, so bought the whole lot..lol..
Even though it was a long day yesterday, it has given me so much of a new buzz, about the ranch.... visions of lovely old cottage loveliness...lol
Had a phone call on the way home from one of the neighbours up the ranch... saying one of the other neighbours were phoning the police, as the stream was up, and flooded the corner of one of the piggie pen's.. The pigs are fine, as it goes nowhere near their arc, and they have a HUGE run...
Its basically they have tried the reporting us to the council, and saying we were keeping them, and killing them illegally, selling illegal meat, Reported us to other people about the stream backing up and the water going into their garden... ended up the problem was further own in someone elses garden... THEN they reported us to the Environment for all the 'pig waste' going into the stream...
SO now they are not getting anywhere with the Various depts. in the Council, the water board, Environment agency etc, they are now trying to involve the police...
Wish some people would get a bloody life...
So need to try and extra money in QUICKLY so we can live up there, or start thinking about living in the caravan... up thereWork to live= not live to work0 -

I doubt if they will get much joy there, especially if the police visit and find nothing amiss, when they will probably get a polite ticking-off for showing unecessary concern.
Look on it positively; you have an ally there, and I dare say a few more sitting on the fence, because they don't want to get involved.
It's the same here. Down in the barn conversions there's an elderly couple (probably my age! :rotfl:) who complain to all and sundry about anything they can dig up. Their empty lives mean they've nothing to do all day, except think of mischief. Others seem scared of them, but although we've crossed swords a few times, I'm reasonably entertained by their various gripes. Without such mad-!!!!!d people, our lives would be the poorer, and at least they keep 4 beady eyes on things!
Glad you had a good day yesterday, despite the rain. We all need inspirational trips. What a coincidence that alfie had a pleasant, relaxing day too. :A
Rehearsals every night, then performances Thursday to Saturday. Voice is OK by day, but it struggles at night.
Tried on my outfit last night and found it a bit tricky to move around, or had others treading on it, but I don't think DW is up for a re-fit! :rotfl:0 -
I hope that weather front doesn't visit us next week. It's half term. I don't want to be trapped in a caravan.
Your comments about the pecking order have set me thinking, Dave. The two birds we lost were bought as single birds and I now suspect didn't get the shelter/food they otherwise might have done. Note to self: don't buy birds on their own.0 -

Half term over here now. Sunshine & showers next week where you are.:)
The newest/youngest hens introduced will usually be late into the hen house at night, and may be reluctant to go in there daytimes because of bullying. This has certainly been true of those we've introduced, although when the Fentons went in, there were 6 of them, which helped a lot.
Young hens also seem to stay out more anyway. Oldies need little excuse to head for the shed!
Saw two Ixworths advertised in the local paper last week, so they are around.0 -

Meantime, I am hoping to source some dark laying Marans. OH doesn't like them as they scratch his grass up too much.0 -
hiya peeps
well the sun has been out today, couple of "nothing to worry about" showers. i borrowed a gardening lad from friends garden today to help me shift/lay slabs ready for pen in garden of new house. had a call from seller...coming tomorow. i am impressed ! it has been made to my specs [will show pic if i can find a camera that works] and only ordered late friday evening. i assumed they wouldnt get order till monday... but had call monday to check specifications , call today to say tomorow..:D
so if anyone is looking for a good quality kennel/run type building these are the guys..:D
i saw cheaper but the wood was carp.
thier houses with runs would make good stables/enclosure for 2/3 goats/ sheep aswell.
dave... keep a warm scarf wrapped round your neck and keep necking "the bird";)
ive been boxing up ornaments etc this afternoon.. but also looking after 2 dogs so ive got 5 dogs trying to avoid stan the goose who keeps coming indoors every time i open the front door..:o mayhem !!0 -
Well.....grazing is still pretty wet but garden grass is drying out a bit......
I'm thinking I might put the ponies in the garden tomorrow for some actual grass. That way they can have a slow reintroduction too. They might explode with joy though.
I'm not too worried if they chop the ground up......digger'll be coming through soon for my hearing anyway........(heating that is.....my hearing is bad these days, but I don't think the digger will help much!)0 -
Hehe, I've just sold my first half dozen eggs for a quid. How funny
To a neighbour, so I'm thinking they got a good deal with our lovely pale blue and minty blue Araucanas and lovely chocolatey Maran eggs.0
