    hi all...

    just a quicky :D

boiler man came 10.30...fixed it BUT........ cant get temp up on water :(
have left message when i got home...so we will see.

tonights the night i hand in my notice.. will email to 2 depts of land agents then print off and post one,,,,:D

If you haven't sent anything yet it occurred to me that you might care to say you feel forced to hand in notice by their failure to uphold their responsibilities Rather than that you are just giving notice.

No idea if any standing but makes it clear you are pointing out they have failed on their duty.

You have been treated very shabbily Alfie, and your capability relied on by them as the balm to heal their failures for too long.

I am only skim reading as the dongle thingy down here in Exeter is slow...

Davesanve the farm shop near westpoint ( which does the best EVER fish an chips) are selling a brace of pheasants for only £3.50 which sounds really cheap to me... ( is it?) If I bought a brace ot take home with us,what the heck do I do with them? how long do you leave them hang? ( I did 'poke' them and they were stiff lol) and do you roast them like chicken??

It is a good price I think for a hearty meal for at least 4 people. I would ask the farm shop how long they have been hung already. We get loads, and never hang them for more than 2 or 3 days in total. They would be better pot roasted than plain roasted, especially at this time of the year as it is the end of the season and they are no longer young. Nigel Slater has an excellent and easy recipe.

What Dawn said......:D after skinning them, as shown in this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbwSGPtLUxw

The vid goes into a lot of detail, but once you've done a few you'll be dealing with a bird inside 5 minutes or thereabouts. :j

Personally, I don't like to hang them too long, so I usually aim to do the above within 3 days of the day they were shot, but some people leave them longer.

So many pheasants around here, they often can't give 'em away, but like last winter, the wet is affecting the shooting and I'm not seeing many. :(

Hope you do well at the event anyway. We are due for some more naff weather tomorrow and into the weekend, but perhaps that might boost footfall, as there's little anyone will be able to do outside. :)
