Thank you Dave She had an ok night apparently - but then she was drugged up to the eyeballs - DH left her in a very confused state as the cocktail of painkillers were just making her more muddled......she did say she thought she was going to die though

We'll find out later is she's having the operation today or tomorrow.

These things always seem to happen at this time of year - a year ago FIL was in hospital and passed away on 8th Feb.....hope history doesn't repeat itself

I've only skim read the recent threads and apologies for not commenting further only to say lovely pics LIR and Alfie and hope you're feeling better soon CTC and that you manage to get some sleep Rummer x

Well, seemed to go ok this morning, I have to go to Swindon maybe tomorrow for some stuff from......OPENREACH! who aren't going to be able to make the job but who are going to let us do the prep. Because we are laying the duct etc they won't put cable through, we have to do that (literally, their cable, but we have to pull through, isn't that nuts?) but seems perfectly doable!


We might even get another phone socket in the back lobby which would mean we could get a phone that works in the Cheese room. Imagine being able to answer the phone without leaving a pan to burn!!!

That sounds like a growth spurt, Rummer. I remember being bog eyed with my first one. Think he wanted to feed for about 48 hours solid. Arggh!

Very sorry to hear about your Mum phoebe poor lady must be in so much pain and distress. How has she been today?

Did you get any sleep Rummer or is Rumlett still of the view that sleep is only optional?:eek:

Mr BD has had a very productive day and taken down that horrible paper in the living room. Underneath was some light paint, looks much better.

evening all

well the icing on the cake is that now...my boiler has just gone kaput..:mad:
and it packed in half way through washing my hair [for those who didnt know, theres a lot of it !!] and first i knew was a mega cold shot from the shower head...:eek: my god i swear i shrunk a foot !!
tried reset etc ... not havin it..:(

poop poop and double poop...:o :rotfl:

What a pain Alfie - made me shiver just reading about it. :(:( Do you have an alternative source of heating and an imersion for your water or is it a case of boiling kettles?

Loads of stuff happening here not all good. Feel like I've just been wacked in the guts with a sledgehammer.

boiled kettle and pan of water to rinse my hair..:rotfl:

no emmersion [no mains power]

got an open fire tho so not an ice cube...yet
