    Happy Christmas everyone!

Thanks for your kind wishes. DD2 is having a lot of work done on their new house, so when it reached the point it was too dangerous for the twins to be in the house they came to stay with us for almost a week. Unfortunately one of the twins had a real snotty cold, which unfortunately both OH and me caught. It was a singularly rotten one, even OH was reduced to watching daytime TV in bed! So we went from being well organised with just a few bits to do to being horribly disorganised and running round like headless chickens! :o We're mostly over it now, just left with a runny nose and general feeling of not wanting to do much but stay in bed. (rolls eyes)

Finally made it to IKEA for the tree on Friday, DD2 arrived here Sunday with GS3, decorated tree on Monday evening, yesterday went to visit MiL in nursing home, followed by meal in Italian down the road, the same one MiL had her 90th bday party in, as we both felt in need of a treat and a bit of "us" time. And I still need to finish wrapping prezzies!

LiR, glad to hear big dog made it through op OK, hope that you have good news when you get test results.

OH is just putting turkey in oven, so guess it's nearly time to get up for coffee and mince pie for second course of breakfast! ;)

    What rain??? Blue sky here....:D

I'm up because some hens needed to get outside at 8am. :p

DD2 arrived home before midnight. We picked her up from Tiverton Parkway around 10.30pm. To be honest, the journey from Bournemouth to here is normally so convoluted, going via Reading didn't make it any longer! :rotfl:

    Morning all!

Worried for nothing. The kids were delighted with their presents and our son has not emerged from his room except to be triumphant with a new Lego creation. The girls are most pleased with their new knickers - 101 Dalmatians and Tinkerbell!

We are off to our neighbours this afternoon. Prior to that, it's been a morning of chicken husbandry. Everyone but the geese have lovely dry straw and sawdust for Christmas day.
