    I've been Money Tipped!
    Beautiful taps!
  • CTC - great to see you've set a moving in date, hopefully you'll achieve it! :j

Nothing much going on here, work is extremely busy but it always is this time of year in our trade. I'm keeping my head above water for now but it's pretty stressful.

All (generally) fine apart from that, DH is suffering with his condition but we expected that.

Keep warm and dry everyone *hugs*

  • Morning all,

Good looking taps Alfie.....second pair in looks good...

I cant believe its just over 2 weeks to Christmas... Think I def need to go to Wyevale today, and see their fab selection of Christmas decorations etc, just to try and get me 'in the mood'

Bought a printer this week, as the other one packed up, and its flipping broken by jamming up..... so hubby will take that back today and ask them to swop it... ( should be ok as we bought in Tesco).

ITSME...is it the 21st or the 22nd the shortest day??

Rhiwie... is everything ok?? you have been a bit quiet lately...

Been mooching on right move most of the morning...... I 'think' if we 'tart' this place up, and do VERY basic repairs, We might be able to get back what we owe on it, or come out of it not in as much neg equity than I thought....

I think if we can get one side of the ranch ( which would have been one house originally) habitable , kitchen, back living room, toilet. bathroom and one bedroom, (boys can have a caravan each.. Then that will get us in the ranch a lot sooner, and will save us loads of money a month by not having to pay a mortgage and rates on this place, and will only have the rates and money for the continuing work on the other side of the ranch.

In theory this could happen in the summer, IF I can get, earn, save enough money to the things needed on the 2 places..

    Hubby don't know this...... YET......lol....
That sounds like a plan, CTC. This renovation business is hard work, isn't it?

The solstice is at 5.04 am on 21st, CTC.
The difference between one day & the next is tiny timewise but we'll have turned the corner of the dark nights :j

I don't care.. its will be going back in the right direction...lol

Rozee... yep, It is a mind field... especially trying to work out in what order to do things...

We know we want to re-do the floors, so do we do them before the carpenter starts any work that needs to be done to the ceiling/upstairs floors or after?? as there is prob no damp coarse membrane down, plus we want to lay the old flagstones that had been re-used for paths, when they tried to do the floor before back down, def in the kitchen, and if we can get some more, then in the back living/slob out room...lol.. so then there will be no worries about wearing our wellies in that part of the house...

Out of the gutter please, ti is far too early for that kind of chat :rotfl:

I am sitting quietly surrounded by chaos and pretending I can't see it. If I focus intently on the laptop screen I can almost convince myself that the living room is in order and that every other room in the house is fabulous and all the laundry is done ;)

The plan for today is another garden visit then out to family for dinner so I really should be moving!
