    I've been Money Tipped!

LIR I haven't got a clue with electrics, even though My Bro and other family members are electricians etc, but I think with everything, it is better for the spec to be to much/big for what you want, so you are not pushing it too hard, hope that made sense....

They have given it really cold this weekend, and wintery??? don't know if that means snow for us? but really wanted to go up the ranch and start doing a bit of a clear up with the trees..

We've missed deadline to get heating in by Christmas, because of electricity people. Really frustrating. The now want to do a site visit, I'm begging them to come this week.

I have a rose to move and wanted to do it today but I have two 'frozen' shoulders, not sure its worth the strife. If its cold at the weekend it will be too late....:(

CTC, that is so kind but you have to think of yourself first! Those trees are your ranch heating supply for the future and if you have surplus you could sell seasoned softwood delivered locally at about £70 per cubic metre :). Well worth constructing a big log shelter (pallets will do most of it) to start the seasoning.

Our listings are mostly in place after a hectic November and we'll just be adding dribs and drabs over the next few days. 19 parcels sent yesterday! After Christmas we'll send our slow moving stock to auction to make room for fresh.

Bought a new show shovel, got winter tyres on one of the cars, salt and grit supply in, just need to get a box of essentials milk etc. But with posting so much stuff we need to try to stay mobile :(
  • I think I'm going to ask DH to call alf for me today ( I would but for dodgy head). I miss her:(. I want to know what's going on with her water and that she's ok.

Alfie has replied to a couple of my posts on FB, I will see if I can get hold of her too for you

Until we moved, we used to be able to get BBC West, Ian Ferguson is a far better weatherman than Derek what's'isface (grabs body armour, tin helmet and runs). :D

As we do Freesat here, we can have whatever news we want, but we're actually BBC South West now, not just West. I tend not to notice weather men! ;);)

CTC, I don't see anything scary on the weather front here at the weekend. Wind is almost non existent at present, but as I'm burning small stuff in the orchard/copse in the middle of our two fields I'll not upset anyone. :)

It's the first read-through of the Panto tomorrow, (Oh yes it is!) so what with that and the Carols on Sunday last, it's beginning to feel a bit Christmassy, but only a bit. I'm guessing you want it to stay benign like this, lir. With your medical history, the leccy people should be making you a priority and no messing.

Our logs have just gone up. We get around a cubic metre of soft for £45 now, and hardwood is £60. That's a good price.:D The hardwood, being all ash and oak this time, was excellent.

Our problem is that we can never get enough from our suppliers, who do it as a sort of sideline. We would take it in the summer, as we now have plenty of room, but they just concentrate on their other businesses then. I think they monitor what everyone has in stock and work accordingly, so no one runs out, but none of us is able to build up a large buffer either!

I'm hoping to[STRIKE] hide[/STRIKE] store Pete's logs somewhere...when he gets around to them. They will be for 2014/15.;) I have enough of our own stuff cut in 2010/11 to see us through this winter, once it's cut.

    I'm not. :p

I have the impression that it might create more problems than it's worth, but I don't really know. :o
