  • Have you run a lot more power to outbuildings or was there just very little leeway under the original set up?
It seems strange that we went from one house to 6 but you are having problems.

I thought 2 phase was all but obsolete. Not that I'm in anyway a power expert.
Isn't 2 phase only run through a form of doctored 3 now?

We run LESS to the out buildings! After all, we don't milk or use the automatic feeders, or the irrigation systems!

Apparently my cooker is a hefty power user, but I struggle to see it uses the same as an operational dairy unit:rotfl:

We're toasty here now, with both the Aga and the woodburner doing their things. We're paying for it too, but I'll miss the Aga when it goes.

Came over very cloudy here mid morning, so I retreated to the polytunnel and put the dahlias to bed in their dry compost dustbins. Tedious job, but they're safe now. It hit -3c in there last night. :(

Meanwhile, DW has been tidying the main barn. It's a novelty to do that, secure in the knowledge that the wind and rain won't howl through it, bringing leaves and soaking everything within 10' of the entrance. FiL and BiL really couldn't have had a better day yesterday to fit the door. Although there's a bit more wood securing for me to do around the frame, it's basically weather-tight now. :D

Funny how the doors, originally from a building 90 miles away, almost match the rather dodgy garage doors on my workshop:

    :rotfl: Seems unlikely, doesn't it.

    Doors are looking great Dave!!

We had a short walk today and apart from that have done very little this afternoon. Just started working on the nursery again. Touching up the paint work and giving the book shelves another coat. It all seems to be taking such a long length of time. Still have the rest of the woodwork to do however I just don't want to :rotfl:

This week we are getting some work done in the kitchen so that we can finally get the fridge freezer moved back in there so it will no longer be at the other side of the house :j It has only been 5 years of walking for miles to cook a meal :rotfl:

    It wasn't us!:o:o

We helped, but I don't have adequate tools to drill into concrete tidily, reduce big doors and bore large holes through massive beams.

We really need a SDS drill and a rip saw, or saw table, but then we need other things just as much, so we make do.

Also, those doors would have been too weighty for just us two. ;)

Well I cleared out the shelves and got them finished off so hopefully I can start putting things on them tomorrow :D

The next few weeks are going to be incredibly busy and I am tired at just the thought of it all. However not long until I am off on maternity which will be lovely :D

Rhiw I am away to see what treasures you have listed…..

We have decided to go to the royal welsh winter show next Monday...:T:T for a day out... plus to have a nose to see if it might be worth us having a stall there next year, even though it is really hard to get a stand there..

Cant wait, we are having a VERY QUIET Christmas this year, have only got 2 boxes of sweets, and the boxes of smellies for the boys..so far lol Really can't get my head around Christmas is only a month away...

BD do you know when you will be getting the keys???
