It can be very 'economy' round here too - likewise pheasants, partridges etc :rotfl:

Oh yes, it's just about 'pheasants hanging from the door handle time' again.

We had a bit of a lay-off in 2012/13 because of the awful weather, but I'm sure they'll be back.......

I'm down to well under 10 minutes a bird now, so not too bad. ;)

We have barn doors! :D The main barn is weatherproof at last. :j
  • Rummer, haven't made anything in a while, too busy,

watching the cheesy Christmas films again on channel 5:D

Rozee do you ever go to Aberystwyth??? I am 'potentially' looking for a hall/venue to hire

Hmmm, just realised I've got a still life original acrylic on canvas by this painter . Somehow I'd be happier if this was a sold price!!

Dont think its time to give up the day job :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Me too on the jewellery front......I have a fair bit of costume stuff to eBay when I get round to it ;) I had some success last year with a lot of inherited gold pieces, just never got round to the less-expensive items......then again we've got a whole room full of assorted collectables etc - both our own and pieces from when we cleared my parents' house to go through, there just never seems to be enough time! Looks like an antique/junk shop here at the mo :D

In the meantime DH is doing really well with his sales on the bay - his business specialises in vinyl/music memorabilia - so pleased we made the switch to BINs as you can wake up to find you've done a couple of hundred £££ in sales whilst asleep in bed :rotfl:

Maybe it won't fetch £10k, but at least in your line of business it's possible to make the occasional real 'find.' I'd imagine that helps to sustain your interest. :)

I used to love making 'finds,' but in the plant business those only make relatively modest amounts. We found the very bold Campanula 'Sarastro' before other nurseries in our area, so we did really well with it for a year or so until everyone else caught up. Horrible, brash thing, it was! :rotfl:
