Here are a couple of pictures for you. The first is the view from the kitchen window of Arenig Fawr. I could wash up all day looking at that!! The second is Arenig Fach from the back of the house.

These houses are both on the 'Look at This!' thread on the property board. We have been finding weird stuff ages on that.:D

Lovely views Stitchy and it looks as if a river runs through it, complete with Gunnera manicata. Weather can't be that severe there if that survives.

Aye, well......they'd need to be fed more than pet rats to keep up their strength here you know.0 -

The photo is deceptive. What looks like a river is the start of a huge pond. That area of the garden is quite boggy so they just got a digger in one day and dug a great hole. Not sure I like it, but I can't go in changing everything. Well, not yet anyway...
ETA Apparently it's snowing up there at the moment :eek:Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Stitchy - It looks marvellous, really lovely.
It's all white here, but thawing at the moment.0 -
Stitchy its beautiful. I too think you are being really wise taking some time to centre yourself, you'll benefit from it.
Choille, white days are so pretty. Hope you have enjoyed the clean look before the thaw set in with its mucky mushiness . Its grey and dank here, wet in the air which is making it feel colder than I think it is.
The last skip from the yard went this morning. Big dog is in season now, so kiwi is living in the kitchen separated from her and dog dog. Everyone has the pip, he wants to be with them, they want to be in here. I want to get on with things.
Architect meeting tomorrow.......with a heating engineer yep, another one. Each one comes up with a different and more expensive solution. I actually like these ones. They are very ' salt of the earth' and not flash (apart from prices). Architect rolled up his sleeves to negotiate and DH said....hang about....maybe...don't ....maybe we'll just.....Pay what they want if they can do it before Christmas. This very British thing of paying woot negotiation is a new one for us. Especially when prices are so scandalous. Our London based heating expert is spitting saying that of he were instructing he'd think any of the systems we've looked at would be dear at 80% of the prices out here.
Oh well, we'll see how it goes tomorrow.0
