    Separate building. :D

Mind you, the whole of Hatherleigh market hangs in the balance longer term, so we should expect some kind of change. That's why I always snap some photos when I go. I'm hardly James Ravilious, but it'll be nice to have a record. :)

:D Yea, I know it's a different building which is why I said fowl not sheep. Mind you, they're now panicking in case there's asbestos.

Nice gallery on that site, thanks.
I remember !!!!!! & Lorna over at the Barton. The kids look so young :rotfl:
Sadly pretty much all that older generation of folk have gone now. Most of the 'characters' went with them. I was lucky to come here while they were all still around.

    sooooo bloody true Alfiekins

well, weather is totally pants here, rain and wind.

Hubby is now on a mission:eek:, as we have been talking about the price of energy just going up and up etc, he has been looking on the internet to see if we can build anything ourselves, out in America you can buy the solar cells, and make your own solar panels etc... He is now looking to see if he can make his own turbine:cool::o:rotfl:, his way of thinking is that we have a van outside the house that is written off, which has a perfectly good alternator, sadly I was too busy watching Emerdale to take full notice of what he said:cool:...

We are very lucky compared to a lot of people, as the ranch will have wood/solid fuel heating, fires and cooking, so will only need electric for the lights, fridge/freezer and an electric cooker, for the summer months, that its too warm to keep the rayburn/fires in, but we still want to try and see if there are ways of doing some of our own electric.

CTC, diy solar for heat is a real option, whether its solar thermal (heating water) or solar air. And there's lots of help on the net.

Small wind for leccy I have my doubts about.

MCS installers need to be involved to get Solar PV FITs

You can buy all the parts to make a solar power system in the UK CTC, though if you want to qualify for FiT, everything has to be put in by an approved installer.

Is your stream reliable enough for powering anything? Ours isn't, but it's too far away to be useful anyway. :(

Looks like we have a potential nasty storm approaching for next Sunday night/Monday. A case of battening down the hatches and crossing fingers. I must say having the barn end sorted makes me feel easier at times like this.

    EDIT: Snap, rhiwfield! :rotfl:
