    morning all:j:j

rhiwie, talking about museums, I have been itching to go to ST Fagans again, I totally love that place, if I could live on site in one of thise houses I would be a very happy bunny, but when it get dark, I might be scared:o:o:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

St Fagans is one of the must sees for visitors, I love the outdoor part (less keen on the inside section). It's such a big site you dont get that hemmed in feeling and the old buildings are fascinating. But some are so dark they're a bit creepy even in daytime :o

But for a real treat the Gower on a fine day cant be beaten...Rhossili bay is magnificent, even better than Three Cliffs which is pretty spectacular in its own right

Good idea Rhiwie, got mum and sis visiting today, mainly to see my newer arrivals (2 new dogs, 2 new cats, 4 goslings, 4 lambs and one kid!) but it's looking lovely today so a little trip out might be called for! We'll see how we're doing for time when they arrive, might need to stay more local...

I went to see them yesterday, sis lives near Chippenham and we went to Avebury for a mooch round the stone circle, then lunch in the pub! I didn't drive, my pick up costs double on the bridge grrr so I went on public transport heaven forbid!

I love taking the train, sometimes it's a bit inconvenient ie waiting half an hour for a connecting train, but 2 hours with nothing else to do was lovely. Caught up on some reading and knitting LOL!

St Fagans is on my list of places to visit, still not managed after living here 4 years! I've managed to get to Ikea just down the road plenty of times mind you :o

I love Avebury. Best stone circle IMO. (Live between the two really) Hate the pub there though.

And inspiration for one of the scariest children's programmes ever made "Children of the Stones." A 70s masterpiece, or load of old cobblers.... one or the other! :rotfl:

    That was enjoyable :)

I wanted to see examples of welsh pottery and porcelain and wasnt disappointed. And as an aside, took in a few paintings by unknowns like Renoir, Manet, Monet, Augustus & Gwen John. The upper galleries dont have the hordes of kids that the lower galleries do, and are peaceful and reflective.

We seem to be buying some better earthenware and porcelain lately, and we're hoping to develop a better eye with experience even though we started very late.

Goosgogs are ripening nicely, just that crossing point between tart and sweet, lovely to graze so blackbirds are having to make do with the redcurrants atm.

    where was everyone last night??

Rhiwie, you prob now have the confidence and the interest to buy and sell better items, its a natural progression with some people,

As we are doing loads of BIN, more than 50 a month, its going to work out cheaper now to have a basic ebay shop, normal listing fees for BIN is 40p, but if you spend £19.99 a month on a shop the fees come down to 10p, so anything over 50 BIN listings in a month you save.

FK are you going to ffairfach Saturday??? might go down and see what crap they got:D.

Rhiwie I am sure I have mentioned before, their indoor household auction stuff has got a lot better in recent months.. still a bit of hit and miss though, but it does mean standing round... might be worth a trip one Saturday.. even if its just to have a look to see if its worth considering it as buying auction for you.

    It doesn't get dark till 10pm! :D

I had a bit of a poo day yesterday, literally, as I noticed a bog forming at the end of our drainage field for the septic. That shouldn't happen at this time of year!

So.....I dug a series of holes, and at the bottom of each one I could see water seeping in quite quickly. Soon, I had a long line of water-filled holes, but I hadn't found the pipe. :(

Out came my my dowsing rods, but they refused to work. Couldn't get anything out of them at all! :o

Meanwhile, I'd been monitoring the run out inspection chamber every hour and I noticed our neighbour's side was going continuously. Hmmmmm..... A few weeks ago they spent an entire day and night hosing water down a blocked drain, so I wondered if they were doing something similar.

Anyway, I gave up on that and spent a few hours weeding. By evening, the neighbour's run out was not running and this morning the holes are empty. It seems lots of water went into the neighbour's tank at some point and overwhelmed the system, but I need to study it more before passing final judgement.

Apart from that, nothing to report. We have courgettes and the peas are flowering, but we're still buying tomatoes.

Now that I'm no longer meant to eat toms I've not grown them this year for the first time for ages and my greenhouse is empty :(.

But every cloud has a silver lining, no need to water daily and there's all that empty greenhouse space just waiting to help dry out the firewood when delivered :)

CTC, we might try it out of interest although we need to buy in quantity to justify mileage. Thanks for the reminder on Ebay shops, must check it out, especially as I'm likely to lose my TRS discount for not jumping thru Ebay's express free postage hoops

I allways wanted to be a power seller:D, but now that I fit the criteria, they are changing it in August:mad: I think this is going to turn the power seller status on its head, and only the big high street, multi nationals that sell on the bay will meet their criteria. maybe this is the reason they done it.

Been trying to think of a shop name for my ebay store.. something quirky and witty...any suggestions??? I sell clothes
