Ah the key to keeping warm is to keep busy ;) I have been whizzing about all afternoon with only a few breaks on the couch and I am perfectly warm. I may however, when I retire to the couch, pop the fire on for a wee while :)

Well, I'm delighted for you....but what is it?

Someone here just hasn't, there has been a car crash outside, DH has gone outside with resident parent. If its bad I'll go and help/boil the kettle whatever. If its not I'm not moving from where I have made warm. :o

    Hi all,

Lucielle - We got our fleeces done at Skye Skyns - they are wonderful - still in a box in the shed, but wonderful.

CTC - sorry about your friends nephew - how sad when someone young dies. Good that there was a good turn out - would be a comfort.

Rhiwfield hope you enjoyed your break.

I' m off to a cheap travel lodge on wednesday in Inverness when I go to hospital thing. I decided to stay over for a couple of days & have a baffffffffffffffffffffff. I feel I need a break away as it's been a bit of a slack time.

Roofers supposed to come tomorrow so hope it's as good a day as it was here. Cold now, but really warm today , but still midgies about.

Seem to have spent a while listing stuff on the bay, but yes Rhiwfield the fees on postage is illegally bad.

Just about got hit with a heron earlier as it was getting dark - weird experience that! Also a bat - pippestrelle kept flying at me - obviously I'm irristable - what's that all about?

Well car outside looks like a right off. Kids , eh?

In fact they did have a massive stroke of luck, no one at all was hurt. Just metal and a tree. And only one car involved. Hopefully a lesson about rural roads learned.

The cows thought it was a hoot, thank god....would have been awful had they not, they are the ones in calf. :(
  • glad everything was ok, and no one was hurt in the crash, bet his insurance will hurt a lot next year ( if he is insured)

Come on Rummer what is it???

Choille hope everything goes ok at the hospital, a few days away will do you good, where you can have as many barfs as you like, and just slob out, and sleep all , or read a book, watch tv, etc all day.

Woke up an its raining:( hope it clears up. as we will be there about an hour before the funeral leaves the house, we are staying on the bottom of the lane... to help with any bits that need doing, with irecting traffic, and making sure no one goes down the lane ( the hearse will not be able to get out otherwise). Basically anything trivial things the family needs doing, we will be there, so the family don't have to worry.

got my waterproofs, so will look like a mitchelin man:rotfl:

Alfie.. you have taught your 'nipper' well, and not only that he has taken it all in, don't think anything has sunk in with my boys:mad::rotfl:

Me too, but I'd be more pleased if I knew what it was! :D

We have Outlaws and offspring descending on us in the next few weeks, so I'm hoping for some half-decent weather to continue. At least all our firewood will be dry this coming winter, but we still have filling-in the front of the big barn to do if we're to stick to schedule. :(

Speaking of schedules, I'm going to give Openreach another prod. I have a friend who's one of their engineers coming here next Saturday, so it will be interesting to hear his take on the pole debacle.

Hope today goes as well as it can CTC, and that you have enough barfs to last you the rest of the month, choille. :)
