thank you all kind peeps...i dont faff about birfdays once i waved goodbye 50...:rotfl::rotfl:
its a bit overcast here today but still had no real rain, ground is rock hard. lake by horses is almost dry
all the horses are sorting out territory and best buddies at the mo and funnily enough it is upstart LORI that is spending his time dividing the masses. if new cob goes near ruby or his mum he shoots between em and flicks his heels [at least 12" off the ground] trying to look tough.:rotfl::rotfl:
the little pony stands and protects a 10ft radius round her and cob...
we are having a digger in to level out the ground round all the gateways. then this special tough green mesh stuff going down to stop the ground becoming a bog in the winter.
the whole corralle bit is being graded and drainage pipes put in aimed at a ditch. plus this mesh. it will have a fine covering of soil and grass can have a go at growing.... it is just to stabalise the ground really [and so i dont look like the monster from the deep when i up end in it....which seems to be a trend for me..;) :rotfl::rotfl: ]
washing machine is going full tilt as my plans for today were scuppered...:( due to my fault re my hand...:(0 -
ooooo sorry rhiwi.... have a fab time at the wedding... you are passing my territory nipper
p.s. i have amazing planes going overhead en route to bournemouth air show:D

We had the concrete/cement version (not actually sure what it is but like they have on runways) laid to help give traction on the hill. Brilliant stuff. Pricey but brilliant.0 -

Yes, once the grass grows over it you don't know it's there.
The grass car park in the valley had the green plastic honycomb laid to stop it getting too boggy (it's next to a river) & cars getting stuck. Seems to work fine AFAIK.0 -

Yes, pretty sure we'd just need the heavier duty plastic stuff, carpark sort of grade, Enough to run a tractor towing a roller over once a year but not a plane!
Anyway, its not going to happen so......!0 -
Rhiwfield have a great day.
Dreich here, dreich, dreich, dreich.
Tempted to go over East just to escape the drumming rain on van. Like water torture.
Loads to do, but let's just run away today.........................0 -

Yes, you'd need something heavy duty enough to take the weight of the tractor & roller, LIR. Some of the plastic stuff is rather flimsy. Rubber, maybe?0
