And our young Bradley has set lots and lots of fruit, its weighed down by them...only....it doesn't look like a Bradley to me :(

Is that the Bradley that's like a Bramley if one doesn't have autocorrect? :D

Nice, if breezy here. Trying to put roof on wood barn, but still having issues with fitting precisely-made in factory stuff to object made in Bodge-it land!

That's the one davesnave! That famous seedling. Infact, maybe that's what we should call this one. :(

0ne side of the old clamp PAINTED. By me no less. :). Swollen feet, ands and swollen and locked knees, and back feels like its gonna snap. My arms shoulders and neck are groaning with use. Its wonderful, I feel useful and alive :D

I must feel useful as well then :o, but after four hours on the ladders, I don't feel very alive. :(

At least I'm now satisfied all that can be done to make the structure strong and watertight, has been done. It took half the day to make something to seal the gap between two roofs However, it's now so breezy, we can't put the sheets on. Tried one and it blew back at me.

Think I will go grass cutting now for some light relief....

I have been frittering money we don't have on things we don't need, silly things like take out coffees (decaf :() and smoothies. The same old cliche. Then however a few unforeseen expenses came up, coupled with baby things and trying to save for maternity leave. Plus I am so tired that I have not been cooking or keeping on top of the house the way I usually do and everything has stalled.

It all came to a bit of a head today when the weekly shop was more than usual again and I walked back into the less than tidy house and realised I had to get a grip! So I have scrubbed the bathroom so it looks like a new pin and OH has scrubbed the kitchen so the house is back to being respectable. I have to go through the cupboards and work out how to make this shop last two weeks to make it more cost effective which should be doable as I keep a full stock cupboard ;)

We are by no means in trouble just not quite where I want us to be, I want to build a real bank of savings not fritter it away on nothing :D

All of us mess up, Rummer. :o

Last night we popped into Morrison's to get a bit of this & that, because we were supposed to have visitors today, possibly. I came out ranting, because somewhere in there we'd spent £50! OK, much of it we'll use as 'normal food,' but there were things neither we nor our friends need.

Anyway, they didn't visit us, so we had quite a nice lunch!:rotfl:

Glad a mish mash kitchen will be fine!

The ridiculous hype of fitted kitchens is beyond us.

Rummer don't be harsh on yourself. You have to allow yourself some slack some of the time.

The caravan is rough as I have given up cleaning it - it's a wonder Environmental Health haven't shut me down.

Rainy & very squally - but as I was swilling out a Holidoid house I didn't mind too much, but me back has gone.
  • It's probably the old hormones playing havoc & making you feel down, Rummer.
So the house isn't a show home at the moment ......the most important thing is your (& Rumlet/Rumlette's) health.
Take life a bit easier. Maybe now is the time for a tad more delegation of household duties? ;)

According to last night's weather forecast it was going to be 4 degrees here this morning. For once I could believe them:snow_laug
It's meant to get to reasonable temperatures during the day, though, & the sun is shining. It seems less windy than yesterday when I was watching the thistle fairies blowing like snow from the well-kept (sarcasm) charity field towards here. :(

We have the honour of the visit from the Planning Officer this coming week. Not that I expect anything positive to come of it other than possible proof that I can control my natural tendency toward murdering morons :rotfl:
