Might they be too old? They are only £35 and the owner has some personal issues so needs to get rid of her poultry.
They lay blue eggs
Edit: !!! equals male chicken
think our Rozee has the chicken bug:D:D:D
think you might have to educate the kiddies, that these birds ( especially the male one) will not be as tame and easy to handle/approach like your other ones...Work to live= not live to work0 -

Alf, "ludvick lamb" is no spring chicken, more like 70 year old mutton
.
Back from sale and not totally despondent which is a sign I may not have bought total carp! Particularly pleased with one buy until it fell to bits on the way home :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Off to Ross tomorrow, then badly need to spend more time in garden and on household jobs. At least garden is still productive, autumn raspberries now cropping and I need to net the blueberries as they are now ripening.0 -
Hi everyone
COOLTRIKERCHICK suggested I pop over and say 'Hi' in another thread.
I'm a big dreamer and one day would love to own my own home! I'm slowly getting there. Saving 90% of my wages to get enough deposit together :money:In dreamland I would love a run down cottage in the middle of nowhere that I can do up. In reality, I'll take what I can get
You all seem lovely in this thread. Hope I can join in!

Evening all (from another mad chicken woman - although currently chickenless. (Friend had Ameracauna rozeepozee and their eggs were lovely))
Fingers crossed for your flying tomorrow Alfie.
Welcome SB :hello::hello: your country cottage dream sounds wonderful
Some good news today. Results from my op a couple of weeks ago - they got out all the tissue they wanted to and it wasn't cancerous. One thing the pathologist is not sure of but they can't check as the consultant is on holiday for 3 weeks. So I will find out in 3 weeks time if I need another op. Unlikely from what I was told, just mammograms annually for the next 5 years.
And less than a week after we had an offer accepted on a house the vendor has found a new build to purchase - so we can proceed and with a very short chain. The day when I can have chickens again is getting nearer :j
Tomorrow the LA is coming to check we are not wrecking our rental - I think we struck lucky with this LA, they have been excellent. When we first moved in we negotiated a reduced rent in exchange for paying 6 months in advance. The 6 months was up on 28th July and I rang LA to arrange a SO. I was ready to pay the higher amount, but LA said there was no provision to increase the rent in our agreement at the end of the 6 months, so we could keep paying the lower amount. Very impressed, as I would have been none the wiser if they hadn't told me.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Welcome Sbowden.
Alex my remaining elderly cat is a completely jet black half Persian tom who is now about 19. What a very handsome chap he is & a massive character albeit completely headstrong & doesn't seem to see anything wrong in waking us at any hour to get up & feed him!
Alfie - have a lovely flight. That will be marvellous.
Been a gorgeous day here & managed to get out & get some grass cut, but the midgies chased us in now.0 -
:j:j well done better days
looks like lifes looking up for you....:T0
