So while you might expect to be able to trust a young child not to destroy anything in quarter or half an hour you cannot with 100% certainty guarantee it won't happen therefore some of the responsibility has to be your own as the adult.

I think the big differnerce between these cases is that PP is a full time Mum and has to do normal things like get dressed...go to the loo and can't watch the kids literally every minite...every situation is differnert and things like that do happen! :rotfl:

This guy had his son for 2 hours...and left a screw driver blantly avaible whilst he went in the shower..its disgraceful in my opinion that he can't even put 2 hours aside for his child.

OP has already confirmed he could of just gone in after son had left...we might not know his schedule but she will have the main idea.

To be honest, I don't see why he had to involve you at all. Its his son too. Couldn't he deal with it instead of pushing the blame and responsibility for punishing him to you?

I don't understand why he had to leave his son on his own why he had a shower. A 6 year old can cause an awful lot of destruction on his own for 15 minutes. Some 6 year olds you can trust to sit still and not get up to anything but some... you just cant.
