Yes it was jobseeker direction. I was told it is a mandate and i must accept this, but i know i am obliged not to accept tracking cookies. I use ghostery and AVG cookie blocker so nothing enters my system.
Did you tell them you will not accept cookies, they should then tell you what they/you can do to alleviate your reasonable & genuine concerns.

You should make this clear to the advisor, they should then investigate DWP guidance & come up with a solution.

And of course you do not need to give DWP access to your account.
    .
  • The trackers are google analytics and webtrends, i have the lawful right to reject these and reject the site, if DWP were so honest and open not only are they trying to madate third party access but they are using trackers to know what you're doing.

The solution was don't do it get sanctioned. It is madatory, you have no power we own you. The guy was a complete tool and it is him i have to see next time as well.

Just do as they ask - the only possible reason I can see that you dont want to give them access is because you arent searching for jobs!

and, it CAN be a handy tool - logged in last week and my advisor had saved a job for me i hadnt even seen!

You need to think a bit more.

If you missed it or did not apply in time, you could be sanctioned.

You should tell the advisor again you will not accept cookies, which you are perfectly entitled to do, they should then investigate DWP guidance & come up with a solution.

They will likely tell you this from busy mom who is an advisor at JC+ :

why should i allow tracking cookies from universal jobmatch on my computer?

Use the computers at your local library.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
Read the sticky on the House Buying, Renting & Selling board.

One of the biggest problems I've had with this site is the fact I've had days where I've been unable to log in at all, if I'm not down as logging in enough I can be sanctioned, also some of the recommended jobs have been over 50 miles away, and I had one for a staggering 2 hours a week, miles away and must be flexible.

The thing I've wondered is how do people that don't have Internet access manage? I was told that if I didn't I could book 30 mins at the library, fair enough but what happens if in those 30 mins I can't log in? I do have Internet access, but I know some people don't so it got me thinking.

I was also told that if I ticked the privacy box then I'd be sanctioned.
