Universal jobmatch

no, i check EVERYDAY at least once, because I actually WANT a job instead of trying to work the system, THANKS!!!
The point is, because you have consented to the DWP viewing your UJM activity, and are receiving job recommendations from Jobcentre advisers, you have increased your chances of being sanctioned.
You have been sent a job recommendation, if you do not apply for that job, the adviser can refer you for a sanction, the fact that you "didn't see it" is irrelevant, as is the fact that you "WANT a job instead of trying to work the system."
You were sent a job and did not apply, which is a sanctionable offence. It is one of many reasons why it is not advisable to consent to DWP access to a UJM account.0 -

That is only true if the job matched what he is looking for in his JSAG.
People will tell you all kinds of horror stories as to why you shouldnt use UJM, but if you are genuinely looking for work you have nothing to worry about. The ones who tell you not to use it are the ones who dont want to receive jobs via UJM as they dont want to work and will get caught out by UJM when they dont apply.
So, if you want to play the system and avoid working, dont give access to your UJM account, if you want a job then you have nothing to lose.0 -

I also find it ridiculous that they take the paper job search record as 'proof'. People who are avoiding looking for work can write anything to keep the advisers happy.
I only have paper records as I refuse to tick the box to allow access (due to the reason others have stated, the site does not always work and some days I am unable to login but can always view the site without loging in). I am not just allowed to write looked at X site as, as you say anyone could just do that. I have to write down a job I saw on that site and if I am not going to apply the reason why I am unable to.0 -

You've said here you don't give access & fill in JC diaries.

I need some advice, please. I have been told by the JC advisor that I have to open an account with the Unversal Jobsmatch and search for the jobs from there. On my last visit they asked what evidence of my job search do I give to Work programme advisor. I said that I usually e-mail the job details to my advisor. I want to understand do I need to give JC permision to access my Universal jobsmatch or how else can I prove that I am a job searching? Its not like I can e-mail my jobs details or print everything as it will cost a fortune?0

If you are directed to register and upload a C.V. you should be issues with a leaflet to expalin about the cookies. you do not have to register at home you can use the libraray, work club or jobcentre computer. No UJ is not the only site to use, Jobseekers should be maximising all sites and all jobs.
JCP advisers are following instructions from above.
All work programme returners will be mandated to register and use the site, all other jobseekers will have some discretion but it really depends and varies form area to area based on local labour market, jobs availability and employers recruitment processes.
It is not mandatory to allow DWP access to your account. All this information can be found in the UJ toolkit as others have mentiond earlier.
As for matched subs, there is a difference between matched and recomended. You are only required to apply for mtached subs notified to you by your adviser either not what the UJ site has recommended.0
