Universal jobmatch

I would LOVE to think of my trout of an adviser in her nightie and curlers, spying on my account at 3am, but I'm pretty sure she would have been snoring gently to herself.
Yes, you get some odd matches, but I'm afraid I applied for pretty much everything I could, that would work around my childcare issues. I ignored anything that asked for personal info, and noted it in my notes on the site, and printed off one "job advert" to report to my adviser for being particularly dodgy. You are told not to upload any personal info, other than an email address on your CV when you go for your initial meeting at the job centre. It's easy to run an email address purely for jobseeking (I did, as my personal email address isn't the most professional sounding address ever used!)
When it comes down to it, life isn't easy on JSA, and it shouldn't be. We are being given government money in return for being able to prove that we are actively seeking work - genuinely, I still can't see the issue.0 -
Christ ... :money:POT and KETTLE comes to mind !!
thought you had me on ignore?
why is it pot calling kettle black? i queried the word because i didnt appear to fit into the subject matti notice that your comment was aimed at me with no response to the OP.
you really need to find something else to do other than looking for posts from people you are 'ihnoring'0 -
I see i have entered the forum of bias people. Those who said we aren't being watched just look at prism. We are using a government operated site where they collate data about you more than jobsearching. Nannytone the only reason i am unemployed is because i was knocked off my motorbike by a drunk driver causing serious ligament damage in both my knee's which put me out of my field of work because now i can't do anything that features prolonged physical strain. This is the first time i've ever had to shame myself in claiming benefits and the one time i seek advice i get nothing but sad old trolls.0

Oops hit a nerve there.........0 -
there is/should be no shame in claiming benefits that you are entitled to.
but in order to receive them, you have to comply with their demands.
'they' already know more or less everything about you anyway, so putting your entitlement at risk in order to prove a point seems a bit daft0 -
Did you receive a Jobseeker Direction ?Jellybean84 wrote: »Today I had a jobseeker direction interview where the advisor was scare mongering me into signing up by saying it is mandatory. I challenged this and asked for the legislation to prove it was madatory, he searched the internet and found nothing. The best he had was may require unless exceptional circumstances. So i called him a hypocrite for his actions.
Now i am fully aware of debauchery with DWP after serving the most incredible sanction you will ever see. So i do not want to be a victim of saving the public purse again.
Can anyone tell me what i have to do to stay within the rules but not to have my privacy breached? I really can not believe i can be forced to surrender my privacy and allow people to snoop on me. Surely this breaches EU human right laws? Another thing is, why should i allow tracking cookies from universal jobmatch on my computer? I am allowed to not accept these but then i can not use the site.
Give me legislation anyone? I feel oppressed by this, slavery was abolished but now i feel i have to jump through hoops to survive.
Did you tell them you will not accept cookies, they should then tell you what they/you can do.0 -
Nannytone you are obviously someone who is willing to let others walk all over you. I will register for the site no problem but i am not being madated to allow third party access. Do you not see the infringment here? If i knew who was looking no problem, but universal jobmatch runs on an American server operated by monster.0

There is no shame in claiming benefits when you need them.
You are being offered help to find work, you are not being spied on!
You'd be better off spending your time more wisely than replying to sad old trolls :rotfl:0 -
Yes it was jobseeker direction. I was told it is a mandate and i must accept this, but i know i am obliged not to accept tracking cookies. I use ghostery and AVG cookie blocker so nothing enters my system.Did you receive a Jobseeker Direction ?
