You don't have to give them permission to access your account, no matter what they say or what the latest thing they come out with is..

They can check you have an account with nothing but the email address you signed up with, and if they really need to see proof, you can print the relevant page out for them (eg. the one showing you've uploaded a CV or applied for a job).

Do not under any circumstances tick the box to allow them to view your account, or give them the password, they are lying if they say you have to!

Yes, at that time I didnt give access, now I do and I havent been 'stitched up' as some people claimed would happen.
That was all only in last few weeks.

Obviously, you've got to do what you've got to do, and deal with the advisor you have, who has been messing you around or playing with you.

You seem to have changed your tune completely and be spouting some strange propaganda.

If you are directed to register and upload a C.V. you should be issues with a leaflet to expalin about the cookies. you do not have to register at home you can use the libraray, work club or jobcentre computer. No UJ is not the only site to use, Jobseekers should be maximising all sites and all jobs.
JCP advisers are following instructions from above.
All work programme returners will be mandated to register and use the site, all other jobseekers will have some discretion but it really depends and varies form area to area based on local labour market, jobs availability and employers recruitment processes.
It is not mandatory to allow DWP access to your account. All this information can be found in the UJ toolkit as others have mentiond earlier.
Surely by now Jobcentres & advisors realise what a hash UJM is.

Tens of thousands of unfiltered unchecked jobs dumped on it by external job boards to fill it up and make it look full.

It's just being used as a political tool for the clueless Tories.

It's probably scared off lots of employers.

Oh no it's fine, my advisor has apparently personally security checked every single one of the 300,000 jobs on UJM!!! ;)

Ive just had a conversation with an IT guy who pointed out that if you are so worried about UJM security you would slash your wrists and hang yourself over the security issues with Face book.

As I said, if you are looking for work, you will have no issues with UJM and giving them access, you will want them to send you jobs and will apply for them because you WANT to.

The only people who have any reason to fear UJM are the skivers who want to avoid working and sponge off the tax payer.

    Weird, oh well.

It just doesn't agree with what you said elsewhere. You must have known all this over last few weeks in your own threads.

The stuff about access & skivers is stupid nonsense. It's a junk monitoring website to keep clueless Tories happy. Jobcentres & advisors have no real interest, it's just another box ticking exercise.

As I said, you've got to do what you've got to do & convinced yourself otherwise.

    Who told you this ?

Because I couldn't get the whole thing up and running I was hauled in front of some advisor that told me that there was nothing logged on ujm so I could be sanction, I told him I couldn't get it to work, in fact I gave him the log in details and told him to try, needless to say he couldn't. He told me to make a new account, that's when he told me I'm not to tick the privacy box, ticking that means they can't get onto your site so can lead to sanctions.

Trouble is there are too many advisor giving different bits of information out, the first advisor I saw told me I didn't even have to use the ujm site!

It's your account, it belongs to you, it's up to you.

Nobody can force you to give access, but of course they can give you a hard time in other ways.

You can't be sanctioned for not giving access.

See info elsewhere on thread on what you can do.

Maybe ask him to put his lie in writing, which of course he will never do.

Actually, Ive thought about it and come to my own conclusions, instead of just following the sheep. All websites use cookies and have a level of security issues. If you knew everything about security issues on all the websites you use, you wouldnt go on the internet.

If you are genuinely looking for work you have nothing to fear from it, the only people who need to avoid it are those who dont want to work and need to avoid sanctions.

You probably spend 12 hours a day on Facebook and its REALLY dodgy:rotfl:

That's a silly thing to say as they are giving people a hard time who don't give access, so not giving access makes sanctions more likely, as you've already found.

It's easier to give access to avoid sanctions, thye can tick their boxes & keep their managers happy.

All you're doing is giving access to a junk website to keep idiots happy. It's not about helping people find work.
