Couple that with having to arrange child care as well and I can see the problem. But when they are older then ...

There will be no stopping me when I get my freedom back. :j

Until then, I'll have to make do with sites like this, single parent groups and the school gates.

Did you manage to think of any?! My single sister was visiting at the weekend and very disappointed in the Aberdeen men. Says she understands why I've been single for so long lol

i met my OH on https://www.plentyoffish.com - I never thought i'd resort to internet dating but it's a free site and i decided, "ah what the heck...why not"

you can specify what you're looking for, be it dating, long term, friendship, etc. what i would recommend though, is to set up a totally new anonymous email address and msn messenger profile (because people will want to chat on msn). don't link it to name you post under on forums etc or anything like that. On my profile i said i was just looking for someone to go to the cinema with, not even dating... lo and behold 6 months down the line we're thinking of the possibilty of living together after the summer...

I wondered if we could start up a "moneysavers" social group?

We could organise events like Spice do and also some for children to come along to as well.

I wonder if people would be interested and if it's feasible?

Good suggestion. Could be feasable with an informal get together initially. Guess there would have to be several area groups if enough are interested.
